Liverpool Feds came through a difficult tie away to
Division One North leaders Barnsley with a 2-1
victory after extra time. Nicola James got the
Feds off to a great start with a second minute
lead, with Barnsley getting back on level terms
through Abby Parkin. The game went into
extra time and with two minutes remaining,
Demi Devereaux scored the goal to take the
Feds through.
Gillingham also progressed at the
expense of lower division opponents, winning
3-0 at Chesham Utd. Breon Grant and
Megan Maslak put the Gills two ahead at half
time and Ylenia Carabott rounded off the
scoring, fifteen minutes from time.
The other tie to take place was a North
East derby match between Newcastle Utd
and Durham Cestria and in front of a
healthy attendance, it was Durham who were
eventually to emerge as winners on a penalty
shootout, after the teams had battled out a Boldmere St Michaels’ Amelia Kirk tries to hold off

Portishead Town staged a second half fightback before beating Moneyfields on a penalty
shootout after the resulting 2-2 draw. The Moneys went into a two-goal lead with goals either
side of half time from Kim Whitcombe and Jade Widdows but Portishead, who reached the
quarter finals last time around, battled back with Amy Clark and Rhian Robbins both scoring
to take the game into the shootout.
Last season's beaten semi finalists Sporting Khalsa notched up the biggest win of
the day with a ten-goal blast away to Long Eaton Utd. Stacey Garnham and Olivia
Woolston led the scoring for Khalsa with a hat-trick apiece, Steph Weston weighed in with a
brace and the other goals came from Rebecca Gill-Parsons and Angel Craig-Tapper.
Northampton Town continue to improve and they moved smoothly into the next
round by winning 3-0 at Sheffield FC. Fabour Omenazu gave Northampton the lead after
twelve minutes and they went on to wrap up the win with second half goals from Alex Dicks
and Kim Farrow.
Northern Premier Division
Burnley FC Women stay on top of the table following their 1-1 draw against Nottingham
Forest. Charlotte Greengrass put Forest ahead after seventeen minutes but Burnley were
able to salvage the division's last remaining unbeaten record when Millie Ravening equalised
late on.
Wolverhampton Wanderers bounced back from defeat seven days earlier to win
1-0 against Boldmere St Michaels. Amber Hughes scored the only goal of the game to see
Wolves narrow the gap on leaders Burnley to a single point.
Stoke City kept up their good run of form with a 1-0 success away to West
Bromwich Albion, which extends their unbeaten run to five games. Roisin Kivel scored the
goal on the hour mark, which takes Stoke up to third place.
