lead which was negated by the interval with Leah Kerr and Liv Chapman on target for Mosborough.
Kerr’s second gave Mosborough the lead, but there was to be no repeat of the first half after City had
equalised as it was Mosborough who netted the game’s final two goals, through Katie Flanagan and
Lauren Jeavons.
Division Three leaders Penistone Church posted their best score of the season, winning 9-1
at home to Millstone whose consolation came from Saffron Cawrey. This was Penistone’s fourth
home game of the season and they had registered 6, 7 and 8 in the previous trio. With the division
reduced to eight teams (from an initial 10 at the start of the season), teams play just 14 league games
and Eckington Belles became the first to complete their fixtures as they won 3-1 at Kiveton Park
Development for whom Jessica White scored.
Meanwhile, away from the quest for league points, the League Shield semi finals were decided
with both ending in favour of the away team.
Georgia Skitt netted the game’s only goal as
Charnock Ridgeway, in their first season, won Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire
at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic. The other PREMIER DIVISION P W D L F A Pts
