Introducing Frome Town F.C.

Kyle Phillips (Goalkeeper)
Kyle is widely recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in the area and re-joined in the
summer after a short spell out of the game. Kyle originally joined Frome in 2016 from
Mangotsfield and brings valuable experience to the defence.
Tom Roberts (Goalkeeper)
Another exciting young goalkeeper that has progressed through the youth section. Tom
spent much of last season on loan at Western League clubs and this year he will register
with Shepton Mallet to further continue his development.
Warren Maidment (Defender)
Joined Frome from Melksham Town. Warren is highly rated and was pursued by several clubs
at the time. We are confident he will continue his development and achieve further
recognition in the game.
Pierce Mitchell (Defender)
Pierce has recently joined the Club from Yate Town. He has over 170 appearances at
Southern League Premier and Division 1 level, including over 100 appearances for Taunton
Town. Pierce previously progressed through Bristol City's academy before signing for Bristol
Rovers. Which included loan spells at Bath City and Weston-Super-Mare. Followed by signing
for Truro City.
Caleb Summerfield (Defender)
Caleb joins the club after a successful pre-season trial. He can play in a number of positions,
primarily featuring as a right-sided fullback or wingback and started off his senior career at
Saltash United at 17. He spent three years in the US for Rich Mountain and Brewton Parker.
After his return in the summer of last year he played in the Western Premier division for
Millbrook where he received many plaudits for his performances.
Sam Teale (Defender)
Club captain, formerly with Weston-Super-Mare and Paulton Rovers & is equally at home
anywhere across the back line. Popular amongst the fans and took on the mantle of manager
at the end of the 2018 season when it was required. A true team player. Sam is now entering
th
his 8 season with Frome.
Matt Wood (Defender)
Matt signed from Shepton Mallet after impressing in both of his dual registration
appearances at the end of last season, a young centre-back who represented the English
Colleges on a tour to Italy. He was at League One Exeter City`s academy until he was 16
and joined Western League Premier Division side Buckland Athletic in September 2020 and
then joined Frome’s league rivals Willand Rovers in the summer of 2021.
Joe Budd (Midfielder)
Joe is returning to the UK after a short spell playing in New Zealand. He is a graduate of the
Bristol Rovers academy, and has previously represented Taunton Town helping them win
promotion to the National League South.
Jon Davies (Midfielder)
Jon returned in 2019 after a season and a half away at Melksham Town, having originally
joined Frome from Bath City. Two footed and a delight to watch, unless you are a defender.
Without doubt one of the best players to ever wear the Robin’s shirt, and to grace the
Southern League.
Zac Drew (Midfielder)
Zac is an exciting attack minded winger who joined the club from Yate Town before last
season’s transfer deadline having also previously represented Cinderford Town.
Tom Duffin (Midfielder)
Thomas, who is US-born but holds dual British citizenship, has recently moved to the UK.
