He is no stranger to this part of the world due to his family roots and has been over on a
number of occasions, participating in trials at clubs like Glasgow Rangers and Crystal Palace
as recently as this spring.
Alex Monks (Midfielder)
Alex is a good all round midfielder with aggression but also composure on the ball. He came
through the Bristol City youth set up before his development was halted through a serious
injury. Joined Frome in 2018.
Tyson Pollard (Midfielder/Striker)
Warminster based Tyson joined the club in December last year from Bradford Town having
an impressive Western League pedigree with them and also Shepton Mallet. His energy and
enthusiasm should prove valuable as he steps up a level.
George Rigg (Midfielder)
George joined the club from Chippenham Town having had an impressive career to date
from Stoke City u21’s, Bath City, Weymouth and Chippenham Town. With over 200 games
at national League level his experience and quality has been a great addition to the side.
Reece Rusher (Midfielder)
Reece is a prolific winger who joined the Club from Bemerton Heath Harlequins at the back
end of last season where he was a regular goal scorer. He has also represented Andover,
Winchester and Basingstoke. He brings creativity to the squad and in addition to his goals
creates opportunities for his team mates.
Matt Smith (Midfielder)
Fans favourite Matt Smith also returned in 2019 after several years representing
Chippenham Town whom he joined from Frome. Matt is an energetic attacking midfielder
who sadly missed all of last season with a serious injury and we look forward to him getting
back to fitness.
Ross Staley (Midfielder)
Ross joined in the summer, a skilful left-sided player who can operate anywhere along the
flank or centrally. He came up through the academy system at Bristol Rovers, earning his
first professional contract in 2012. Thereafter he represented Yate, Gloucester City, Hereford
and Taunton Town as well as spells in Australia & New Zealand, recently returning to the UK.
Will Taylor (Midfielder)
Central midfielder Will joined the Robins this season following a two-year stint at local
Toolstation Western League Division One side Bradford Town where he was captain and
player of the year last season. A former Cardiff City academy graduate that studied at Bath
University
Sam Meakes (Striker)
Sam joined the club at the end of last season and is studying at Bath University. He has
previously represented St Albans, and Hitchin Town.
James Ollis (Striker)
James began his career at Bath City before signing for Mangotsfield United and Thatcham
Town. An exciting, versatile young player with a good goal scoring record who rapidly
established himself in the side.
Kane Simpson (Striker)
Kane recently re-joined the Club after spells at Tiverton Town and Corsham and has now
clocked up 100 appearances and 40 goals for Frome Town. A menace for defenders with an
eye for goal.
