Mutterings
We finally have our first
Saturday home game of
the season after four
very difficult away trips.
After beating Bradford
2-0 the last time we
were at home with a
brace from Jordan
Metters, the second
being an outstanding
finish with his weaker
foot, we’ve had to visit
Clevedon, Westbury, Oldland in the FA Vase and
Cribbs.
At Clevedon, Westbury, & Cribbs we came away with
no points, which was very disappointing, especially
as there was nothing between the teams in all the
games. I would even go to say the first 45 minutes
against Westbury and the 2nd half against Cribbs
was the best we looked this season.
Unfortunately we are leaning the hard way, as goals
getting scored against us a crucial times of the
game have been our undoing. But us, the
management team and the players are doing all we
can to put this right.
Last Saturday we had a break from the league as we
visited Oldand in the Vase with a Matt Brown hat
trick helping us to a 5-0 win, and giving us our
furthest run in the Vase in 10 years.
On top of the disappointing results we have lost
both Jordan Anstey & Nathan Curnock to injury, and
we wish them both a speedy recovery.
Hopefully we can reward you fantastic support with
the right result this afternoon. Enjoy the game.
