Rangers stay at the top of the table but needed to come from behind in their 2-1 victory over
Hibernian. Michaela McAlonie swept Hibs in front midway through the first half but after the
break, Lizzie Arnot equalised from the penalty spot against her former club and Jane Ross planted
home the winning goal.
Glasgow City meanwhile won 4-0 away to Spartans and stay two points off the pace.
Hayley Lauder gave City a twelfth minute lead which was doubled on the half hour via a Lauren
Davidson penalty. Kerry Beattie made it three after the break and Priscilla Chinchilla completed the
scoring six minutes from time.
Celtic scored seven times without reply past Partick Thistle to keep their hopes alive in
third place. Olivia Chance fired them in front, before doubles from Maria Gros and Chloe Craig
ensured they led by five at the interval. Charlie Wellings added another after the break and Isibeal
Atkinson netted the final goal late on.
Motherwell climbed back into the top half, thanks to a 2-1 win away to Hamilton
Academical. Paige McAllister gave Motherwell a first half lead which was doubled after the break
by Carla Boyce and although Josephine Giard pulled one back for the Accies late on, Motherwell
held on for their fourth win of the season.
Aberdeen also picked up three valuable points as they triumphed 4-0 at Hearts. The Dons
led at the break with a goal from Francesca Ogilvie and in the second half, Bayley Hutchison netted
twice and Eilidh Shore also got on the scoresheet.
Two matches were played in midweek, Kirsty Morrison scoring the only goal of the game as
Hibernian defeated Motherwell 1-0. Meanwhile, Hearts picked up an important point when sharing
a 1-1 draw with Spartans. Simone McMahon gave Spartans a first half lead but they had to settled
for a seventh draw this season after Beth McKay equalised with ten minutes remaining.
Dundee Utd have gone even further clear at the top of SWPL2, stretching their advantage
to twelve points with a 4-1 victory over Boroughmuir Thistle. Robyn Smith struck twice to give
United a two-goal lead going in to half time and after Beth MacLeod had pulled one back for
Boroughmuir midway through the second half, goals in quick succession from Tammy-Lee Harkin
and Danni McGinley wrapped up the points
for the leaders.
