The Regional Leagues...
East Midlands League
Leah Cudone scored twice and Chloe Martin the other as leaders Northampton Town
won 3-0 away to Rotherham Utd. They head the table by three points from
Chesterfield, who went second by beating Loughborough Students 3-0, thanks to a
Gina Camfield double and an own goal. Lincoln Utd kept themselves firmly in the
running with a 4-0 victory at Leicester City Ladies, with Lauren Churcher and Abigail
Ringrose each netting twice. Notts County meanwhile cemented themselves in the top
six by winning 5-0 at Rise Park.
With Arnold Eagles not having a game, Grimsby Town took the
opportunity to replace them as leaders of Division One North with a 1-0 win away to
Sleaford Town. Mia Pinkham and Elizabeth Stocks accounted for the goals as
Nottingham Trent University won 2-1 at Sherwood FC Women and Notts
County Development completed a trio of away wins by beating St Josephs
Rockware of Worksop 2-1, with Phoebe Roe and Caitlin Want on the scoresheet.
Derby County Academy preserved their nine point lead in Division One
South, after scoring eight times without reply past Coalville Town Ravenettes. Laila
Abadi, Rosie Hunt, Laura Monk, Chloe Phillips, Marli Rhodes-Andrews, Amelia Towers,
Mollie Newton and Stephanie Kingston all scored a goal apiece for Derby. Second placed
Anstey Nomads also won, 7-1 at Ilkeston Town thanks to a Carmelina Colangelo
hat-trick, Megan Kenney double, Amelia Davies and Simran Singh. Thrapston Town
kept themselves in the running for second place by beating Kettering Town 4-0 with
goals from Emily Slough, Sophie Warren, Abby Callaghan and Amelia Boddington.
Amelia Johnson, Frances Miller and Angelina Moreau were on target as Loughborough
Foxes Vixens climbed off the bottom with a 3-1 win over Oadby & Wigston whilst
Ellen Marson scored for Peterborough Utd Res in their 1-1 draw with Leicester
Road.
Eastern Region League
Runaway leaders Wymondham Town have an advantage of twelve points following
their 3-2 win away to Haringey Borough. Francesca Catchpole, Rachel Cossey and
Hannah Waters all scored a goal apiece for Wymondham, with Angel Craig-Tapper and
Kylie Manktelow replying. Royston Town meanwhile slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Colney
Heath, Sasha Manders scoring the only goal of the game. Rachel Skinner was on target
as King's Lynn Town won 1-0 against AFC Dunstable and Bedford Ladies defeated
Bowers & Pitsea 4-2 thanks to Natasha Fensome (2), Aliya Bhatti and Priya Bhatti.
Rhianne Brister was on target for Wroxham in their 1-1 draw with St Ives Town, who
replied through Angel Lyden.
One match took place in Division One North, a top of the table clash which saw
Needham Market go seven points clear after edging out Biggleswade Utd by the odd
goal in seven. Lina Nagib netted twice for Needham along with Eleanor Catchpole and
Molly Hall, whilst Biggleswade's replies came from Megan Molloy, Tayla Murray and
Katie Smith.
There has been a change of leadership in Division One South, Barking taking
over at the top after beating Wodson Park 2-0, Laura Bunton and Natalie Oxby scoring
their goals. Previous leaders Leigh Rambles were beaten 3-1 by Herts Vipers
Women, who join Leigh and Barking on nineteen points. Natalie Powell, Ciara Meeking
