Swindon Town Development have closed the gap on Eastern Division table
toppers Keynsham Town Res to three points with a 2-1 success away to AEK Boco.
Phoebe McGouran and Charlotte Cowper netted Swindon's goals, with Lucy Atkinson
replying for Boco. Warminster Town kept their own hopes alive as a first half goal from
Mia Blazey gave them a 1-0 win over Paulton Rovers. Honours were even at Chipping
Sodbury Town where Sophie Kelly and Izzie Smart scored their goals in a 2-2 draw with
Frome Town, whose replies came from Maisie Harris and Enna Christmas.
Southern Region League
Abingdon Utd have returned to the top of the Premier Division following their 3-0
victory away to Wycombe Wanderers, given to them by goals from Lauren May, Steph
Mobbs and Lindsay Pinker. Abingdon Town were also 3-0 winners against Woodley
Utd, Chloe Ball netting a brace and Elisha Cox adding the other. Alix Todd and Sarah
Leonard each scored twice, with the others from Georgia Luckhurst-McCord, Nicole
Brown and Claire Couzens, for Ascot Utd as they won 7-3 against Oxford City, who
netted through Amelia Martins, Abigail Smith and Ellie White. Kau'Inohea Taylor, Molly
Metcalfe and Lucy Nightingale all scored for Eastleigh in their 3-1 victory over
Winchester City Flyers, whose consolation came from Hannah Chaffey.
The top of the table clash in Division One went the way of AFC Bournemouth
Development, who won 1-0 against previously unbeaten Bournemouth Sports with
Grace Morgan scoring the only goal of the game in first half injury time. Charlotte
Gatehouse and Alisha Buckingham were on target for third placed AFC Stoneham in
their 2-2 draw with New Milton Town, who netted through Jade Hockey and Pearl
Mortimer. Siena Millen gave Southampton Women Res a 1-0 victory over
Chichester City whilst Woking Ladies also beat Abbey Rangers by a solitary goal,
scored by Kaitlin Howard. Milton Utd claimed their second win of the season, 3-2
against Eversley & California thanks to Mollie Dyer (2) and Charlott Comley.
West Midlands League
One match took place in the Premier Division on Sunday, Kidderminster Harriers
lifting themselves up to fourth place with a 2-0 victory over City of Stoke. Chloe Whyley
and Dani Selmes scored the goals which took the Harriers into their highest position of
the season to date.
Shrewsbury Town are the new leaders of Division One North after they won
4-0 away to third placed AFC Telford Utd. Madison Jones, Lily McShane, Vikki Owen
and Libby Veitch were all on target for the Shrews. Port Vale made up ground on the top
three by beating Darlaston Town 2-0, Macy Isherwood netting both goals. Natasha
Baptiste scored a hat-trick and Tayler Davies added the other as Walsall Wood edged
out Sandwell Ladies by the odd goal in seven, and Coventry City broke their duck for
the season with their first league win, 5-2 against Wyrley Ladies thanks to Lauren
Bailey-O'Toole (2), Laura Dougherty, Natalie Richardson and Joanne Ryan.
Solihull Sporting kept hold of top spot in Division One South with an 8-2
victory away to Leamington Lions, Leah Williams hitting a hat-trick along with Angel
Scandrett (2), Lauren Smith (2) and Naomi Melbourne. They lead on goal difference from
Knowle who beat Westfields Women 3-2 thanks to a Demi-Lee Rolph brace and Alice
Belcher. Sedgley & Gornal Utd complete the top three following their 6-2 win over
Rugby Borough in which Arshi Zahoor scored five times and Katie Smith added the
other. Chloe Debaes was another hat-trick scorer for Rugby Town as they won 3-0 at
Kingfisher.
