Newly crowned Champions Rangers rounded off the season by winning 3-1 away to Celtic
in the Old Firm derby match. Rangers stormed into a three-goal lead inside the opening half
hour, Jane Ross opening the scoring and after Demi Vance had made it two, Ross netted her
second. Caitlin Hayes scored what turned out to be a consolation goal for Celtic, nine minutes
       into the second half.
The final table shows that Rangers finish with a seven point advantage over runners-up
Glasgow City, whose campaign concluded with a goalless draw against fourth placed
       Hibernian.
Aberdeen’s first season back in the top flight has produced a top half finish, despite
being beaten 3-2 by Motherwell, who notched up a third win in four matches. Gill Inglis gave
Motherwell a first half lead which was cancelled out just before half time by Francesca Ogilvie.
With eleven minutes remaining, Ogilvie netted a second to put Aberdeen ahead for the first
time but ‘Well hit back strongly, Jemma Hughes levelling the scores again and Kaela
McDonald-Nguah grabbed an injury time winner.
Spartans recorded their sixth victory of the season, 2-1 away to Hamilton
Academical. All of the goals came in the first half, Katherine Smart and Alana Marshall
netting in quick succession to put Spartans two ahead inside the opening quarter, with an own
goal by Smart reducing the arrears before the interval.
Hearts made sure of finishing above Partick Thistle after winning their meeting 3-0.
Holly Aitchison put them ahead with just two minutes on the clock and Hearts went on to
crown the win with further goals after the break from Aimee Anderson and Maria McAneny.
The main focus in SWPL 2 was on the clash between Glasgow Women and
Boroughmuir Thistle, with the prize of a place in the top flight on offer for the winners.
Glasgow were in the position of requiring a draw and after a goalless first half, it was Glasgow
who went ahead through a Kaitlyn Canavan penalty, seven minute after the restart. Lucy
Ronald made it two just after the hour and despite Maria Torrente giving Boroughmuir hope
by pulling a goal back, Mhairi Lyle sealed
       a 3-1 win and promotion for Glasgow SWPL 1 P W D L F A Pts GD
