Introducing Westfields F.C.

PHIL GLOVER – MANAGER Phil Glover has been with the club for 11 years as a player and guided Westfields under
his Captaincy to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup in 2016/2017 and appeared on several television programmes
with interviews with the FA Cup. Phil was a dominant centre half and joined Westfields 13 years ago from Hinton
Football Club. He has proved an exemplary defender who played an important part of our FA Cup and scored one of
the important goals against Leiston in the FA Cup. In season 2018-19 he was promoted to Manager of the club First
Team and did a superb job in retaining players and going on an unbeaten league run in the Hellenic League. Phil is
an active member around the ground and during the flood damage that occurred in February 2020 he has been one
of the men responsible for refurbishing the club and in particular the dressing room area which is now totally

PAUL WILLETTS – ASSISTANT MANAGER/HEAD COACH Paul re-joined Westfields 4 seasons ago after serving
the club as a player during his playing days before he left to join the Royal Navy where he has had a marvellous career
and played for the Combined Services and the Royal Navy before managing the Royal Navy side itself. He is now
nearing retirement with the Navy but he re-joined Westfields 4 years ago. He is a qualified FA coach and has injected
a lot of good coaching skills into the club. He is keen, well-motivated and last season played an important role along
with Phil Glover.
TONY JAMES – COACH Tony joins us at Westfields this season after having a distinguished football league career
at Hereford United. He also played for the newly formed Hereford FC team. Tony is now a sports teacher at Hereford
Cathedral School. We’re delighted to have him on board as part of the management structure.
RICHARD THOMPSON – COACH Richard joined Westfields last season as coach and is very much a part of the
management structure. He is a member of the Ministry of Defence here in Hereford and has worked well with the
management team.
JOE DARLEY – PHYSIOTHERAPIST Joe joined us last season from Hartpury College where he is a physiotherapist.
Joe offers excellent service to the players here, both on match days and on training days and is an invaluable member
of the management structure.
JOHN GOODE – KIT MAN John has taken over from Roger Lloyd as our kit man and has provided an excellent
service. John is also the away team mini-coach driver and does a great job in getting us to our fixtures on time!
KANE KAHAKI – DEFENDER (CAPTAIN) Kane was born in Australia and is now 34 years of age. He was previously
playing for Hereford United Youth and joined Westfields from Pegasus Juniors where he was a successful First Team
player for a number of years. A very fit, competitive player, he was voted First Team Player of the Year in season
2016/17 following our FA Cup giantkilling run and scored the vital goal against Highgate United in the dying minutes.
A born leader and a true club legend here at Westfields.
SAM RAWLINGS – DEFENDER Westfields’ Player of the Year in season 2018/19 and a member of the Armed Forces.
A prominent member of our FA Cup giantkilling team 5 seasons ago and had an excellent season in 2019/20. Formerly
with Gloucester City and Shortwood United.
RICHARD GREAVES - STRIKER Returned to Westfields in 2018/19 after 2 seasons at Cinderford Town, Richard
was our leading goalscorer last season and was also leading goalscorer in the 2016/17 season when he took us through
to the First Round of the FA Cup with his winning goal against Leiston which made him a national hero on television
where he appeared on several programmes and interviews. Strong striker and fans’ favourite here at Westfields.
AIDAN THOMAS - FORWARD Aged 31 and born in Hereford, Aidan played for Hereford United and then had a one
year professional contract with Hereford. He joined Westfields in 2011 and apart from one season’s break he’s been
a regular First Team member ever since. He has proved to be one of the best attacking wingers in the Midlands and
frequently caught the eye last year with sound performances to follow on from his FA Cup performance in our
giantkilling run. Another reliable player who has proved an excellent clubman and goalscorer.
DAN STONEMAN – STRIKER 29 year old Dan is a Royal Engineer and represents the Combined Services football
team. He has now been at Westfields for 4 seasons and this will be a new fifth season for him where he has been a
pacey attacking player who certainly will add extra pace and firepower to the Westfields front line this year.
JOEL EDWARDS – DEFENDER Re-joined Westfields last season, having played for the previous 2 seasons with
Cardiff Met. Played in the Europa League with Cardiff Met and had a tremendous season in the National Welsh League
with Cardiff Met. Re-joins Westfields after playing for us as a youngster before he then went to captain Hereford FC
and lead them to many trophies and league titles. Great to have Joel back in a Westfields shirt.
PAUL HURRELL – DEFENDER – joined Westfields 4 seasons ago from Stourport Swifts where he had been a regular
first team player. He has quickly settled in and played an important part in our unbeaten run in the Hellenic League
last season although he did have a period out with injuries. Looks good and fit for the new season. Reliable sound
defender.
OLLIE GUINANE – Ollie is a youngster who joined us this summer from Cheltenham Town School of Excellence where
he has been a prominent member. He has already shown in pre-season that he will be an excellent addition to the
squad.
