Genero Adran League

No matches were played in the league on Sunday, due to the teams being involved in the FAW
Women’s Cup, but there was a round of fixtures in the Genero Adran Premier in midweek.
First up in action on Wednesday night, The New Saints recorded their first victory
of the season and climbed off the bottom of the table when they defeated Aberystwyth
       Town 2-0.
Caitlin Chapman gave TNS the lead on the half hour mark and Lexie Harrison
wrapped up the win with the second goal, midway through the second half.
Cardiff Met Women have taken over as the new leaders following their 3-1 victory
against Pontypridd Town. The Archers took the lead shortly before half time through
Emily Richards, who scored a second within two minutes of the restart. Pontypridd gave
themselves hope when Alison Witts pulled a goal back but a minute later, Laura-May Walkley
restored the two-goal advantage and sealed a result which takes Met top on goal difference.
Cardiff City Women meanwhile won 2-0 away to Barry Town Utd an although
they stay in third, they complete a trio of teams level on points at the top of the table. The
scoreline was goalless at half time but six minutes into the second half, Zoe Atkins gave City
the lead. Catherine Walsh scored a second on the hour to make certain of a fourth win in five
       games for the Bluebirds.
The other scheduled match between Port Talbot Town and Swansea City had to
be postponed because Swansea were due
to be involved in the FAW Women’s Cup. PREMIER DIVISION P W D L F A Pts GD
