KEYNSHAM TOWN LADIES 4
       Secretary’s Notes

Today we welcome Swindon to the AJN for our second midweek
       evening fixture.

So many home games at the moment keep us busy producing
programmes. We played last Thursday, last Sunday, tonight and this
coming Sunday when we are home to Portishead. That’s four games
within 10 days which is also a lot to ask of players, especially young
players, who run the risk of injury through too many games at once.
You would have thought our home midweek evening games could be
more spaced out given we have a 3G pitch. The fixtures Secretary is
employed by the FA and not the FAWNL so we cannot blame the
       League for this.

We have had a safeguarding issue with the referee in the away match
at Plymouth with our Reserve side, which included young players, just
turned 16, making their Senior debut. I have reported this as club
Secretary and Welfare Officer. We are instructed by the FA about care
of 16-18 year players. The FAWNL does not have a welfare officer and
I have suggested to our league representative that perhaps this is
something that should be considered for next season.

I’ve been busy signing up players on Whole Game System. The last
date for signing players this season is 31st March so we are heading
       towards cut off point.

Hopefully the weather will be kind tonight and we will experience a
       good game.
