Manager’s Viewpoint

We’ve only played 2 games since our last home game in late October (3-0 home
win over Stockwood Wands ) and our last online programme. With the bad weather
kicking in and having a negative impact on the fixtures.

Our last game saw us overcome bottom of the table Clutton 4-2.

But the one previous to that saw today’s opponents Chard knock us out of the
       County Senior Cup 1-0 !

That was our second visit to Chard this season. In September we drew 2-2 in the
       league.

Chard are massively improved now. On a great run of form. And today’s game will
       be a guaranteed tough test.

But we ourselves are still top of the table going into this weekend. And just the 1
league defeat this season see us also go into today’s fixture in good form.

This promises to be a good game.

Some positive news saw us hit our social media platforms this past week.
First up was the news of us purchasing our seated stand which will be installed in
       the New Year.
And then the announcement of 3 new players joining the club. Tom Press & Regan
Sollars who both were belated announcements as both have made their debuts
       already.

And the return of Jacob O’Donnell. A player who has already tasted league title
success with us. Winning the Bristol Premier Combination title and the Somerset
County Div.1 title in his previous spells.

As always. Good luck to all the Mendip Broadwalk teams competing this weekend.
       Adult & youth.
