Lancaster City have been playing their first season back since being reformed and it has been a
very successful one, landing the North/West Division title in the Lancashire County Women’s
       League.
Lancaster City are managed by Scott King, with Joe Pickles as his assistant and Kayleigh
Young, who is also the team’s leading goalscorer, captains the team on the pitch. Steph Revie was
recently named as Manager’s Player of the Year whilst Jody Campbell was the recipient of the
Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player awards. Most improved Player ent to Abi McGhee and Club
member of the year was David Hall.
The Dollies, as they are known, got off to a powerful start by scoring fourteen times against
Blackpool Town in their opening game. After three wins in three games, they suffered a setback at
Whitehaven, but were never to look back after this point. City then won all of their remaining ten
league games, including gaining revenge over Whitehaven with a 3-2 win in the return meeting,
and this was to take them to the top of the table, winning the title by a margin of two points.
“We are a close unit and all players are valued and appreciated the same,” Scott King told
Women’s Soccer Scene. “We all do our bit and help with the team, on and off the pitch, like at
training and games, admin, media, planning and putting things in place etc.”

record, their first piece of silverware (league title), the best form in their division, and being
nominated for the Non-League Bible awards.
