Northern Premier Division
Wolverhampton Wanderers made it four wins on
the trot with a 4-2 success away to previously unbeaten
Nottingham Forest. Amber Hughes was on target
twice, along with Maz Gauntlett and Katie Johnson as Wolves held onto the leadership on goal
difference whilst Forest, who stay in third, replied through Arryana Daniels and Rebecca
       Anderson.
Burnley FC Women keep pace with leaders Wolves after a late goal gave them a 3-2
victory at Boldmere St Michaels. Evie Priestley's first half goal for the Clarets was cancelled
out after the break by Lois Jefferies, with Millie Ravening restoring Burnley's lead shortly
afterwards. Jessica Lundie looked to have given the Mikes their first point of the season when
she equalised with five minutes left but deep into injury time, Leah Embley broke the home
side's hearts with the winning goal.
The top two have pulled four points away from the remaining teams, headed by Forest
on goal difference from Stoke City who were 2-1 winners away to Liverpool Feds. Roisin
Kivel netted both goals to hand Stoke their third win of the season, whilst the Feds netted
       through Beth Donoghue.
Huddersfield Town are up into the top half and above West Bromwich Albion on
goal difference after winning their meeting 3-1. Georgia Marshall, Laura Elford and Ria
Montgomery were all on the scoresheet for Huddersfield, who recorded the division's only
home victory on the day, whilst Albion's consolation came from Shannon Stamps.
Fylde Women picked up their first victory of the season at the fifth attempt, 2-0 at
Derby County. Amy Hughes put the Coasters in front in the seventh minute, with Jess
Holbrook netting the second after the break.
Brighouse Town also won for the first time, 3-0 against Loughborough Lightning.
Isobel Dean, Melissa Woodhouse and Jasmine Saxton all scored a goal apiece for Brighouse.
       Southern Premier Division
Leaders Oxford Utd saw their winning run of four matches brought to an end as they were
held to a 1-1 draw by Billericay Town. Leah Burridge kept up her good form in front of goal
by giving the U's an early lead, but improving Billericay hit back for a share of the spoils thanks
to a strike from Beau Parker.
Portsmouth stay in second despite going down to their first defeat of the season,
losing 1-0 to London Bees who join them on ten points. Reah Vyse converted a free kick from
Danielle Puddefoot for the only goal of the game during the second half, as the Bees kept up
their good start with a third win in four away matches.
Watford bounced back from defeat in midweek and it was Cheltenham Town who
caught the backlash, on the receiving end of a 6-0 scoreline. Andria Georgiou, Annie-Lee
Rossiter, Anne Meiwald, Grace Garrad, Melis Mehmet and Flo Fyfe all scored a goal apiece for
Watford, who move up into fourth.
Ipswich Town are starting to pick up after a slow start and they made it two wins on
the trot when beating Bridgwater Utd 1-0. An early own goal separated the two teams on the
day but was enough to take Ipswich up into a mid-table position.
Plymouth Argyle broke their duck following four straight defeats by defeating
Crawley Wasps 2-0, a result which takes them off the bottom of the table. Both goals came
during the first half, Argyle captain Zoe Cunningham gave her side the lead in the eleventh
minute, and she sealed the points with the second from the penalty spot.
       Division One North
