The Barclays FA WSL

The top four in the Barclays FA WSL all recorded victories on Sunday to
keep things as they were in the race for the title and Champions League
       places.
Chelsea ended the weekend on top of the table after beating
Reading FC Women 5-0 on Sunday evening. Jessie Fleming gave
them the lead just before half time and after Beth England made it two
early in the second half, Sam Kerr netted a brace and England completed
the scoring from the penalty spot.
Arsenal had momentarily taken the leadership by also winning
5-0 away to Leicester City. Beth Mead gave them a flying start with two minutes on the
clock but it was in the final quarter of the game that they secured the points, Vivianne
Miedema netting a quickfire double and after an own goal from Ashleigh Plumptre made it
four, Tobin Heath scored the final goal with seven minutes remaining.
Manchester Utd held on to third place, thanks to a 1-0 victory against Brighton
& Hove Albion. Leah Galton has been in great form for United in recent weeks and she
settled matters with her seventh goal of the season, midway through the second half, to give
       her team a valuable victory.
Manchester City returned to action with a 2-0 win away to West Ham Utd, which
keeps them three points behind Manchester Utd and with a game in hand. Georgia Stanway
gave City an eighth minute lead and Khadija Shaw wrapped up the win with the second goal
       just after the hour mark.
