FA Women’s Championship
Liverpool are the winners of the FA Women’s Championship, clinching the
title in style with a 4-2 victory over second placed Bristol City in front of more
than 5,000 at Ashton Gate. Niamh Fahey gave Liverpool a first half lead which
was quickly cancelled out by Aggie Beever-Jones, with
Jaz Matthews restoring the Reds’ lead against her
former club. Katie Stengel made it three after the break
and although Abi Harrison gave City hope by pulling a
goal back, Missy Bo Kearns settled things when she
scored the fourth goal.

chasing teams have a chance again of the runners-up
spot. Crystal Palace are back up to third, Molly-Mae
Sharpe gave them an early lead against Blackburn

the visitors, Coral-Jade Haines scored five minutes later
to hand Palace a 2-1 win, their tenth of the season.

beating Lewes 2-0 at the Dripping Pan. Both of the
Blades’ goals came in the first half, Lucy Watson Watford’s Francesca Ali shields the ball from
opening the scoring and Kasia Lipka added the second, Emily Roberts of Durham Women (Will Cheshire).
