FA Women’s Championship
Liverpool have gone to the top of the FA Women’s Championship for the first
time this season after winning 2-0 at previous leaders Durham Women. In
front of a record crowd at Durham, it was the Reds who took the lead when
Leanne Kiernan headed them in front on the hour and
Taylor Hinds wrapped up the win with the second goal.
London City Lionesses have also reached
their highest position of the season, climbing up to
second with a 1-0 victory over Sheffield Utd. Amy
Rodgers fired in the only goal of the game from a
second half corner to give the Lionesses, who are one
point off the pace, a sixth win of the season.
Crystal Palace moved up to fourth following
their 3-2 win against Charlton Athletic. In a
pulsating local derby, Millie Farrow opened the scoring
for Palace after ten minutes and Kirsty Barton made it
