Neville’s side were creating all of the chances early on and very nearly got the ball over
the line when Jordan Nobbs whipped a wicked ball into the penalty area but neither White or Parris
       could apply the finishing touch.
La Roja started the second half much brighter and caught England in possession on the
hour mark as Carly Telford was forced into a brave save from left back Ainhoa Moraza as she
outpaced the England defence, blocking the shot with her face.
Chloe Kelly made her third appearance off the bench at the competition and almost made
an immediate impact as she found some space in the box but dragged her shot wide.
Neville then handed a first international appearance to Alessia Russo but it was all
happening at the other end and Telford was called upon again to keep her side out of trouble.
Moments later, the killer blow arrived as a corner found the head of the unmarked
Putellas, who rifled a bullet header into the back of the net.
The final chance of the game fell to Parris to stab home a late equaliser but the former
Manchester City forward couldn’t direct her effort on goal.

       Under-21s complete double over France

There was better news for England Under-21s as they earned their second victory in their double
header over France in a matter of days, as they won 2-0 at St. George's Park on Sunday afternoon.
Rehanne Skinner's side had already earned a 1-0 win over the French on Thursday,
Rianna Dean scoring the only goal of the game, but made it back-to-back wins and another clean
sheet to complete a successful camp.
Liverpool striker Niamh Charles put England ahead after just five minutes before Rianna
Dean, who got the vital goal last time out, scored the second just after the hour mark to make it
two goals in as many games.

       Under-19s suffer third defeat

England Under-19s slipped to a third defeat on the spin as they narrowly lost to Denmark by 2-1
in La Manga on Sunday afternoon.
Emma Coates' side were looking to bounce back from a 3-0 opening defeat to the USA
and a 2-1 loss at the hands of Sweden on Friday but were thwarted by Denmark in the last of their
       three games out in Spain.
England didn't make life easy for themselves by giving away a penalty in the opening ten
minutes, which was converted by Sofie Lundgaard, and falling two behind when Cecile Flo Nielsen
       doubled the Danes' lead.
There was hope when substitute Holly Manders pulled one back with fifteen minutes left
on the clock but there would be no England equaliser, meaning Coates' side will travel back from
       Spain winless.
Emily Orman, Naomi Hartley, Kiera Skeels, Katie Bradley (sub Holly Manders
45mins), Molly Pike, Jessica Park (sub Ruby Grant 72mins), Ebony Salmon (sub Emma Bissell
