Genero Adran League
The top four in the Genero Adran Premier all had a good day by recording victories on Sunday
and all four teams are covered by just three points.
There is no change at the top with Cardiff City Women keeping themselves as
leaders, thanks to a 3-0 victory away to The New Saints. Danielle Broadhurst gave City the
lead midway through the first half and Catherine Walsh made it two on the stroke of half time.
Zoe Atkins sealed the points for the Bluebirds as she scored the third goal with sixteen
minutes remaining.
Swansea City made sure of keeping themselves level on points with Cardiff City by
scoring five times without reply past Barry Town Utd. Tija Richardson opened the scoring
for the Swans, five minutes before half time, but it wasn’t until the final quarter of the match
that they were able to end Barry’s resistance. After Richardson had doubled their lead with her
second goal, Stacey John-Davis made it three and after Shaunna Jenkins had put them further
ahead, John-Davis rounded things off two minutes from time as she completed her double.
Cardiff Met Women remain three points off the pace after hitting six goals for the
second successive week, this time winning 6-1 away to Aberystwyth Town. Erin Murray put
the Archers ahead with six minutes on the clock and they added further goals ahead of the
interval through Emily Allen and Shannon Evans. Murray netted her second goal just before
the hour mark and after Rebecca Mathias had reduced the arrears for Aberystwyth, Evans
completed her double and Stephanie
Turner scored the final goal, seven minutes
