The Regional Leagues...
East Midlands League
Northampton Town's great start is showing no signs of slowing down and they made it three wins
out of three on Sunday when scoring seven times without reply away to Rise Park. Alex Dicks
netted two of the goals along with Leah Cudone, Emma Billenness, Abbie Brown, Alex Bartlett and
Charlie Cooper. Chesterfield are in second place after beating Lincoln Utd 2-1, Beth Smyth and
Georgina Williams scoring for the Spireites and Chloe Brock-Taylor replying. Katie Rider (2) and
Elizabeth White were amongst the goals for Loughborough Students as they won 5-2 away to
Woodlands Ladies, a result which takes them into the top three. Emily Fowler, Kathryn Mudge
and an own goal ensured that Oughtibridge WM won for the first time, 3-0 against Notts
County.
The early leaders in Division One North are still Arnold Eagles, who won 4-2 at St
Josephs Rockware of Worksop thanks to a Natasha Leach hat-trick and Amy Gauvrit.
Grimsby Town are the other team on six points, they beat Sherwood FC Women 2-0 with goals
from Ava Houlston and Beth Wharton. Alice Hayes bagged a brace for Sleaford Town as they won
2-1 against Grimsby Borough and Sophie Howe netted for Notts County Development in their
1-1 draw with Nottingham Trent University, who replied through Julia Kings.
Derby County Academy have gone to the top of Division One South following their 3-1
victory away to previous leaders Anstey Nomads. Iesha Rollins scored twice for Derby along with
Madeline Watkinson. Oadby & Wigston defeated Leicester Road 6-1 and are now second, Freya
Gardner hitting a hat-trick with Emma Aspinall, Nikki Lidgett and Lucy Phillips-Poole adding the
others. Peterborough Utd Res were beaten 5-1 by Kettering Town, for whom Brodie Betts (2),
Samantha Redfern-Christie (2) and Amy Findlay were on target. Thrapston Town are the fifth
team on six points; they won 4-2 at Ilkeston Town and Jessica Abdy scored the only goal of the
game ffor Nottingham Forest Development in their 1-0 victory over Loughborough Foxes
Vixens.
Eastern Region League
Wymondham Town were unable to take an opportunity to go level on points with leaders
Wroxham when they were beaten 2-1 by Royston Town. Emma Slater netted both goals for
Royston, who move up to third, whilst Wymondham's consolation came from Hannah Waters. AFC
Dunstable and Bowers & Pitsea each recorded their third draw of the season when their meeting
finished goalless, meanwhile Zara Carroll, Natasha Fensome, Gemma Franklin and Marilyn
Munangatire scored the goals as Bedford Ladies won for the first time, 4-1 against King's Lynn
Town. Colney Heath also recorded their first victory, 4-0 away to St Ives Town thanks to Tia
Steadman, Nicola Puddick, Terri Harvey and Holly Williams. Luton Town are off the bottom after
winning 5-2 at Haringey Borough, Jess McKay netting twice along with Olivia Abraham, Fiona
Constable and Elizabeth Sanders.
In Division One North, Newmarket Town moved into third place after defeating
Cambridge City Development 5-2 in the only match to be played. Katie Hayes and Lidiya
Mykhaylechko each scored twice along with Jess Linger, with Katie Levitt and Carla Penny replying.
One game also took place in Division One South and it saw leaders Herts Vipers
Women share a 2-2 draw with Cheshunt, who have gone into second place. Frances Gamble and
Karesha Iton scored the goals for Cheshunt, whilst the Vipers responded through Rachel Wall and
an own goal.
London & South East League
Ashford Town (Middlesex) have gone six points clear in the Premier Division after winning their
top of the table clash 3-2 against Dartford. Ashley Cheatley hit a hat-trick for leaders Ashford,
whilst Nicha Dyett and Georgie Davies were on target for the Darts. New London Lionesses
follow on in third, Kiz Fergus (2), Jess Wadey and Nicole Wolner scoring their goals as they won 4-0
at Millwall Lionesses. Worthing FC Women join Aylesford on six points after triumphing 6-1
in their meeting, courtesy of a goal apiece from Shawna Harvey, Hannah Hewlett, Sophie
Humphrey, Keavy Price, Katie Young and Lucy Apps. Lilly Lambird scored for Fulham FC Women
as they drew 1-1 with Saltdean Utd, who replied through Georgia Bridges, whilst Denham Utd
won for the first time, 2-1 against Whyteleafe thanks to Ella Greenwood and Lauren Cox.
The top two in Division One North did not play and third placed Sutton Utd caught up
ground on them by beating Hackney 5-0. Olivia Watson, Mika Keen, Darcy Wells, Cassie Brown
and Sophie Hendy were all on target for Sutton. Rebekah Edwards netted twice for Brentford in
