after they defeated Meridian Ladies 3-0, with a goal each from Chloe Higham, Eleanor
Killick-Bird and Sami Phillips. Ashford Ladies have gone level on points with second
placed Hastings Utd following their 3-1 success against Bexhill Utd, courtesy of a
Rebecca Wyatt double and Rebecca Janes. Grace Mayhead scored both goals for
Maidstone Utd in their 2-1 win over Parkwood Rangers, to move them off the bottom
of the table.
Division One North leaders Dorking Wanderers progressed in the League Cup as
they won 8-1 away to Clapham Utd. Charlotte Keenan and Ishbel Zuurmond each scored
twice for Dorking along with Xayla-Rae Alberts, Jasmin Baker, Bianca Underhill and Amber
Clipperton.
North East League
Harrogate Town made up ground on the top two with a 5-2 victory over Wallsend Boys
Club on Sunday. Emma Elliot hit a hat-trick for Harrogate, whose other goals came from
Beth Jennings and Rachel McDonald. South Shields meanwhile defeated Sunderland
West End 2-1, thanks to Caitlin Bates and Alex Miller.
Blyth Town now have a lead of three points at the top of the Northern Division
following their 1-1 draw against third placed West Allotment Celtic. Shannon Carlin was
on target for Blyth, with Gabrielle McConnell replying. Norton & Stockton Ancients Res
meanwhile netted eleven times without reply past Prudhoe Town, spearheaded by a
six-goal haul from Sacha Millward. Louise Atkinson contributed a hat-trick and the total was
completed by Jess Tucker and Elena Purcifer.
The top of the table clash in the Southern Division went the way of Hull Utd, who
defeated York RI 4-0 to replace them as leaders on goal difference. Lauren Tate, Amy
Ward, Emma Smith and Eleanor Robinson accounted for Hull's goals. Barnsley FC
Ladies climbed up to third place as they won a high scoring match 7-4 away to Farsley
Celtic Juniors, for whom Sarah Lawn hit a hat-trick in a losing cause. Millmoor Juniors
Ladies were another team to move themselves up the table after Demi Adams (2) and Delia
Hurdiss saw them to a 3-1 success away to Wakefield Trinity U23.
North West League
In the only match to be played in the Premier Division on Sunday, Tranmere Rovers
narrowed the gap on leaders Merseyrail Ladies to two points with a 3-1 victory against
Fleetwood Town Wrens.
Division One North leaders Blackpool went down to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of
Haslingden, who recorded their sixth straight victory and are starting to make up ground
on the leading teams. A win would have seen Blackburn Community SC take over at the
top but they remain in second place after drawing 2-2 with Penrith AFC, who stay four
points adrift in third. Accrington Stanley moved themselves further away from the
bottom three places, thanks to a 1-0 victory over Chorley Women Development.
With leaders Chester FC Women not having a game, Curzon Ashton took the
opportunity to close the deficit on them to three points by beating West Kirby 12-1 in
Division One South. Northwich Vixens meanwhile shared a 1-1 draw with Hindley
Juniors and are two points further behind in third. Altrincham celebrated their first win
and points of the season, courtesy of a 2-0 success away to Alder FC Women.
South West League
Wootton Bassett Town have moved into the top three in the Premier Division after they
defeated Marine Academy Plymouth 6-1. Libby Davies was on target four times along
with Lisa Coe and Amber Egerton. Forest Green Rovers meanwhile won 4-1 against
Middlezoy Rovers, courtesy of a Charlie Rowlands hat-trick and Hattie Jones.
Almondsbury replaced Frampton Rangers in second place in the Northern
Division table as they won their meeting 2-1 at The Field. Zoe Hales and Amy Jefferies scored
