Genero Adran League
The last full weekend of fixtures in the top division before the mid-season split saw Swansea
City maintain their four point lead with a 3-1 victory over The New Saints. The Swans took
the lead in the opening minute through Stacey John-Davis, with Lucie Platt responding for
TNS on the quarter hour. Katy Hosford and Laura Davies both scored to give Swansea a
two-goal lead at half time, which they preserved through the second half.
Cardiff Met Women are on their own in second place after beating Cardiff City
Women 4-1. Laura May Walkley netted a brace to put the Archers two ahead at half time, and
after Phoebie Poole reduced the arrears from the penalty spot early in the second half, Sophie
Hancocks and Stephanie Turner made the points safe for Met.
Aberystwyth Town claimed the final top half place, thanks to a 2-1 victory away to
Port Talbot Town. Freya Davies did give Port Talbot an early lead but Aber hit back to level
the scores through Rebecca Mathias before the break, and Flavia Jenkins netted the winner
from the penalty spot with seventeen minutes remaining.
Barry Town Utd lifted themselves off the bottom of the table by beating
Pontypridd Town 3-0. Taite Trivett gave Barry a 20th minute lead and they went on to seal
their third league win of the season with second half strikes from Caitlin Marron and Grace
O’Reilly.
Comeback of the day took place in the North Division, where Wrexham recovered
from a 3-1 deficit to beat Llandudno 5-3 and go level on points with leaders Connah’s
