A Word from the Chairman….

Good afternoon and welcome to the
Players, Officials and Supporters of
Clevedon United Football Club. We
hope they enjoy their visit to BBS
Park the home of Mendip Broadwalk
and have a safe journey home this
evening.

After a perfect August and a tough
September with games coming thick
and fast, we’ve now settled down to
1 game a week. The winter months
are always hard with unpredictable weather and heavier pitches. But
these can be where leagues are lost rather than won. One positive is
hopefully it’s the end of the holiday season so we can get a settled
squad.

This afternoons league game against Clevedon will be another tough
test for the players. Clevedon have had a new manager take over
and have started climbing the league in recently weeks.
We played a very good Chilcompton side on Tuesday evening, losing
3-0. The lads will be looking to bounce back after that defeat and go
on another unbeaten run.

You will notice work continues to improve the facility and BBS Park to
bring us inline with Western League standards. The ambition of the
club is to achieve this sooner rather than later. Only time will tell if we
have the squad and the facility. As always we’ll be giving it
everything !!
