Shelley Kerr has named her first Scotland squad for seven months as her side prepare to
continue their quest for Women’s EURO qualification.
Scotland have already been in action this year, beating Northern Ireland, Iceland and
Ukraine in Spain and Kerr has named a consistent 25-player squad for the upcoming matches.
Hayley Lauder misses out on the squad whilst Lisa Evans is ruled out through injury.
Kirsty Hanson has received her second call up. The Manchester United forward impressed in
her last outing for Scotland, named Player of the Match in the 5-0 win over Albania last
November.
Lucy Graham retains her place in the team having impressed at the Pinatar Cup and
captaining Everton to an FA Cup Final spot where they will take on Manchester City at
Wembley.
Scotland currently sit in second spot in the qualifying group, four points off top spot
with two games in hand. Finland top the group, a side managed by former Scotland head
coach Anna Signeul.
Scotland play the first of the double header on Friday night (23rd October), taking on
Albania at Tynecastle Park, kick off 7.30pm.
Kerr’s side then travel to Finland to play the current group leaders, at the Bolt Arena,
Helsinki on Tuesday 27th October (4.15pm kick off UK time).
Both matches will be televised live on BBC ALBA.
