The  Orchard  Welsh  Premier  Women’s  League  Cup  got
       underway  on  Sunday  with  the  first  round  of  group  matches
       taking place.
              In Group One, Cardiff Met Women got off to a good
       start when they won 5-0 away to Cascade Youth Club, who
       were making their debut in the competition. The Cup holders
       scored twice in the opening five minutes through Nealy Martin
       and Chloe O’Connor, a lead which they took into the interval.
       Erin Murray made it three midway through the second half before Jodie Passmore put
       them further ahead from the penalty spot and Shannon Evans netted the final goal in
       injury time.
              Abergavenny Women also took their good league form into the League
       Cup  as  they  defeated  Briton  Ferry  Llansawel  2-0.  Lyndsey  Davies  gave
       Abergavenny the lead shortly before half time and Eliza Atkins sealed the result with
       the second goal on the hour.
              One of the two matches was played in Group Two, with the game between
       Port Talbot Town and Swansea City being postponed for Covid reasons.
              Cardiff City Women made the short trip to Cyncoed Ladies where they
       recorded  a  7-2  victory.  The  Bluebirds  went  ahead  in  the  opening  minute  through
       Phoebe Poole, who went on to add a second eleven minutes later. Sophie Norman put
       City further in front and after Millie Jones had pulled one back for the Mighty Oaks,
       Kate Jeremiah and Keisha Underdown
       also  got  on  the  scoresheet  for  the
