Lewis Coombes, Goalkeeper – A product of the Ashton FC Youth System from
the age of 6, joined 2010. Made his 1 team debut in 2011. left in 2012 for

Bishop Sutton but re-signed in 2014 under ex-manager & dad Rich Coombes and
has been the Stags’ No. 1 ever since. Very vocal ! & a good shot stopper. Our
longest serving player.
Joe Bishop, Defender – Vice Captain. Bish is now into his 7th season at the
Stags’, he reads the game well and has established himself as the rock in the
defence over the last few of seasons. Product of the Ashton FC Youth System.
Jordan Bishop, Defender – Broke into the squad from the reserves a couple of
seasons ago, done well when called upon and now a 1 team squad regular.

Brother of fellow defender Joe, but certainly doesn’t live in his shadow on and
off the pitch!
Tom Press, Defender – Another Ashton FC Youth represented in the 1st Team.
Signed from Broad Plain House in the Somerset County League in 2018, loves of
tackle, great diag and good in the air, formed a great partnership with Bish.
Reece Hedges, Defender-.A young, tall centre half that joined us a few weeks
ago from Hallen FC where he was playing regularly in the Hellenic league.
Previous clubs are Almonsbury and Little Stoke. Made his debut Vs. Cadbury
Heath despite playing out of position at right back, has been very impressive
back at centre half
Regan Sollars, Defender – Signed from Brislington in 2016, now an ever present
in the 1 team after breaking through from the reserves after being a key player

their promotion 4 seasons ago. Product of Bristol Rovers Academy before joining
Rovers he was part of the Ashton FC Youth setup.
Charlie Saunders- Defender/Midfield – Signed from Bath City in 2018 & brother
of 1 team captain Connor. Modern day footballer, quick, very good on the ball
st
and is a very good ball carrier. Char is very versatile being able to play at
anywhere across the back or in midfield.
Alfie Cummings, Midfield/winger – New signing this season, only 16 years of age.
Ex-Bristol Rovers schoolboy, very good on the ball a player who has bags of
potential and a great attitude. Plays for Bristol manor Farm U18s and St.
Brendan’s College side.
Mason Hardidge, Midfield/Forward – Another player to come from Ashton Boys.
Promoted from the Reserves this season and hasn’t looked out of place in the 1 st
Team also brother of fellow midfielder Miles. Mas is very good on the ball and
has lots of potential and looking forward to seeing what he adds to the squad.
