Zak Ford, Full Back, 18 year old Zak joined us recently on a work experience loan from
Bristol Rovers. Due to postponements, didn’t make his debut until this week v
Portishead. Zak joined Ashton Boys, our junior club, aged 5 then signed with Rovers
academy aged 8. At 16 Zak left Ashton Park school, securing a Scholarship with BRFC
U18s. Has played for Rover’s U23s this season, scoring V Forest Green.
Jamie White, midfield, Talented and technical ball player, he joined us aged 17 in 2018,
made 65 appearances, scoring 6 goals in, 2 out of 3 covid hit seasons. Having secured
a place in the summer at Gloucester University, Jamie reluctantly moved to Hellenic
league Hallen but has saw the light and returned to the Lancer Scott.
James Batchelor, 31, experienced attacking midfield player recently joined us from
Toolstation Division one side Welton Rovers. Batch played a couple of games for us in
2010 before enjoying a good career with Southern league Mangotsfield, Brislington and
Wells.
Shea Bennington-Mannings, 22, Our most recent recruit, Shea recently joined us from
Bristol Manor Farm. A tall target man with a good touch, he has Southern league
experience with The Met Police and Paulton.
MANAGEMENT
Tony Beecham, Manager – New to the club this season, back in management after
having spells as a No. 2 at Bristol Manor Farm & Hallen. Tony has lots of Western League
experience as a player & as a manager where he had a successful 4 years at Cribbs in
the Premier Division.
Jim Williams, Assistant Manager – First season at the club after leaving a successful spell
as manager of St. George Easton in Gordano, leading them back to the Somerset County
League, was Tony’s assistant at Cribbs.
Ryan Perrett, 1 Team Coach – Joins Beech’s management team after leaving his role
ST
as manager for 8 years at Parson St. Old Boys in the Suburban League, has previous
experience with the club so knows what Ashton & Backwell is all about.

Sam Carey, PHYSIO, Sam recently joined us, Mousehole was his 1 game in the role.
Born in Chichester. Sam is in his final year at UWE in Bristol, studying Sports
Rehabilitation. Worked for Southwest Pitch side Trauma Care doing pitch side duties for
rugby games all over Bristol. Had a placement at Bath City FC as a Sports Rehabilitator
for 6 months. Currently working in ‘The Medical’ physiotherapist clinic in Bath and
Midsomer Norton. Also working for Saint Mary’s Old Boys Ladies RFC covering rugby
games on a Sunday and have volunteered with Bristol Afterstroke.
