A Word from the Chairman….

Good evening and welcome to the
Players, Officials and Supporters of
Chilcompton Sports Football Club.
We hope they enjoy their visit to
BBS Park the home of Mendip
Broadwalk and have a safe journey
home this evening.

After a perfect August and a tough
September with games coming thick
and fast, we’ve now settled down to
1 game a week. The winter months are always hard with
unpredictable weather and heavier pitches. But these can be where
leagues are lost rather than won. One positive is hopefully it’s the end
of the holiday season so we can get a settled squad.

Tonight’s league game against the current champions will be a tough
test for the players. Chilcompton have recruited well to try and
improve their squad. We’ve been doing the same with some very
good recent additions.

Will Mendip be able to handle the heat tonight? Only time will tell.

You will notice work continues to improve the facility and BBS Park to
bring us inline with Western League standards. The ambition of the
club is to achieve this sooner rather than later. Only time will tell if we
have the squad and the facility. As always we’ll be giving it
everything !!
