Grant Smith
Grant Smith signed for Town in the summer of 2021 as the club’s new
number one goalkeeper. Formerly of Chesterfield, the shotstopper kept
10 clean sheets in 18 apps in Derbyshire before heading to Somerset.
Mark Little
A Wolverhampton Wanderers academy graduate, Little made 32
appearances for the Midlands outfit before venturing to Peterborough
United after a successful loan spell in Cambridgeshire.
It was with the Posh where the defender made his mark as an
Grant Smith established Football League defender, winning promotion to the
Championship via the League One play-offs in his first full season with
the club. A spell at Bristol City followed where he also won promotion
to the Championship, this time as champions alongside a Johnstone’s
Paint Trophy win.
Little enjoyed spells with Bolton Wanderers and Bristol Rovers in the
years following and now signs for Yeovil where he wants to add another
promotion to his record.
Jordan Barnett
A Barnsley academy graduate, Barnett moved on for his first taste of
Mark Li le first team football, joining Oldham Athletic in 2020 where he made 18
appearances in EFL League Two.
After departing the Lancashire outfit, the full back joined Notts County
for the latter part of last season, even finding the back of the net
against Town with a thunderous strike from 25-yards out.
Max Hunt
Standing at six foot, six inches inches tall, the towering Carlisle United
loanee signed on loan in December 2020.
A Derby County academy graduate, Hunt has experience at National
League levels, enjoying a stint on loan at Aldershot Town in 2019,
Jordan Barne making 21 league appearances.
Following his first taste of mens football, the Chesterfield born defender
moved northbound to Carlisle in the summer and after already making
six appearances in League Two this season, now signs for the short
term in Somerset with the look to gain more first team experience.
Luke Wilkinson
The 28-year-old arrived on a free transfer and signed a two-year deal
after making 118 appearances for Stevenage during a three-year spell
in League Two.
Having spent the majority of his career playing for clubs close to the
Max Hunt capital, Wilkinson returns closer to his Wells roots where he was picked
up by Bristol City as part of their academy.
Moving on from Ashton Gate, he had spells at the likes of Portsmouth,
Northampton, Dagenham & Redbridge and Luton before joining Boro in
the fourth tier.
Matt Worthington
Arriving for a second spell with the club in January 2019, Matt
Worthington signed a two-and-a-half year deal from AFC Bournemouth.
A loanee during the 2017/18 campaign at Huish Park, the Cherries
academy graduate then spent the first half of the current campaign at
Luke Wilkinson Forest Green Rovers before returning to the Vitality Stadium.
