Beech’s Bench Talk
Beech’s Bench Talk
Good evening and welcome to the Lancer
Scott stadium,
Hopefully, 4th time lucky, we go into our first
home game of 2023 (weather permitting!)
though it feels like a long time ago and we are
unbeaten in 3 games. You will probably see
we have changed a few things round on and
off the pitch! On the pitch we have bought in
a couple of new faces and off it we welcome
Andy Billiterri and Craig Cummings to the
coaching staff.
Our last game home was a very comfortable
victory against a young Keynsham side where I thought we
dominated from start to finish and could of won the game by more
but was more than happy with the performance and picking up 3
points thanks to goals from Joe Banks, Shea Bennington and 2
debut goals from Lewis Hedges which included a worldie of a volley
into the top corner!
News Year’s Bank holiday Monday we travelled to Cadbury Heath
who were down there with us last season and on a difficult surface
we again controlled the game which showed how far we come this
season and everyone playing their part in nice away win with Miles
Hardidge, Alfie Cummings and Joe Cattermole getting our goals.
Last Saturday we travelled to Helston, came back with hard fought
but deserved 2-0 victory, great goals from Miles and Kitan on his
debut. It was a great team performance.
The squad is taking shape very nicely and the competition for
places is good and healthy! Everyone is doing there bit and
confidence is high so hopefully we can continue our good form
against a very good Bridgwater side that are among the favourites
for the title and promotion.
Get behind The lads and I will see you in the bar after the game.
