a four-goal haul with Madison Jones and Mia-Leigh Pugh each netting twice, Zoe Child,
Abbie McShane and Shannon McShane rounding off the scoring. Walsall Wood
meanwhile won 8-0 against Coventry City to take themselves up to second, their highest
position of the season so far. Natasha Baptiste hit a hat-trick, Tayler Davies and Rosie
Hargreaves added two apiece and Mollie Stretton was also on target. Shifnal Town gained
revenge for their defeat at the hands of Sandwell Ladies seven days earlier by winning the
return meeting 3-1. Sandwell did take a first half lead through Rachel Green but after the
break, Rebecca-Lee Bown netted twice and Holly Bullock the other to give Shifnal a result
which returns them above their opponents and into third.
Solihull Sporting continue to stretch the pace in Division One South, thanks to a 9-2
victory over Rugby Borough. Naomi Melbourne scored a hat-trick along with Lauren
Smith (2), Leah Williams (2), Isabelle Haigh and Dionne Williams to keep Solihull two points
ahead of Knowle, who were 4-2 winners away to Sedgley & Gornal Utd in which Demi-
Lee Rolph (2), Jessica Barlow and Alice Belcher were on target. Harriet Panther, Hannah
Morris and Chloe Debaes accounted for the goals as Rugby Town won 3-0 at Leamington
       Lions.
       Lotte gives Arsenal hope

Arsenal will go into the second leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League quarter final
tie with VfL Wolfsburg on level terms after a late equaliser brought them a 1-1 draw at the
       Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal started on the front foot against their experienced opponents, twice winners of
the competition and playing in their tenth consecutive quarter final, but it was Wolfsburg
who took the lead with practically their first attack of the game.
Tabea Wassmuth found space in the Arsenal area and although her initial shot was well
saved by Manuela Zinsberger, Joelle Wedemeyer returned the ball into the box and this time
Wassmuth was able to head home.
Alexandra Popp missed a good opportunity to make it two when she sent a free header
over the bar but it was Arsenal who were to go close next with a Katie McCabe header which
       was scrambled away.
Stina Blackstenius had a goal disallowed for offside and Beth Mead dragged a shot wide
as Arsenal sought an equaliser but at the other end, Wolfsburg twice struck the posts with
efforts from goalscorer Wassmuth and former Gunners striker Jill Roord.
It looked as though the night would end in frustration for Arsenal but with just over a
minute left to play, Tobin Heath's free kick into the area was well controlled and finished off
by Lotte Wubben-Moy to earn her side a draw on the night.
The second leg will be played at the Volkswagen Arena next Thursday night (31st
       March).
Elsewhere, holders Barcelona look to be on their way to the last four when they came
from behind to win 3-1 away to Real Madrid. Olga Carmona got Real off to the perfect start
when she opened the scoring after eight minutes but a second half double from Alexia
Putellas, either side of a goal from substitute Claudia Pina, has put Barca in a commanding
       position.
Juventus produced the most notable result when they beat Olympique Lyonnais
2-1. Catarina Macario put Lyon ahead early on but the former winners will have work to do
in the return leg after Juve netted twice in the last twenty minutes through Cristiana Girelli
       and Agnese Bonfantini.
There was better news for the other French side, Paris Saint-Germain as they won
2-1 away to Bayern Munich. Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored a goal in each half to give PSG
an advantage going into the second leg, although Klara Buhl did give Bayern hope when she
pulled one back with six minutes remaining.
