Ladies 4-1 in the only match played in the Premier Division, Natasha Fensome scoring a
consolation goal for Bedford.
London & South East League
Ashford Town (Middlesex) kept themselves firmly on course for the title by winning 6-1
away to New London Lionesses. Lavana Neufville scored twice, with Rozalia Sitarz, Ashley
Cheatley, Chloe Farrell and Caroline Bisson adding the others. Ashford, who have played four
games less, head the table on goal difference from Dartford who were 3-2 winners over
Aylesford thanks to an Emily Vaughan brace and Amy Panayi. Ella Newman (2), Gemma
Worsfold (2), Molly Thorns and Rebecca Simmons scored the goals as Worthing FC
Women defeated Denham Utd 6-0 to stay third, just in front of Fulham FC Women who
also scored six without reply away to Whyteleafe. Helen Ogle was on target twice for Fulham
along with Katie Foster, Oana-Elena Negrea, Rebecca Stormer and Georgia Heasman.
Brittany Saylor scored the only goal of the game for Dulwich Hamlet in their 1-0 victory
away to Millwall Lionesses, moving themselves to within a single point of their opponents.
In Division One North, Dulwich Hamlet Res are three points off the pace after they
defeated Dorking Wanderers 5-2. Honours were even in the other game, Natalie White
scoring for Hackney as they shared a 1-1 draw with Sport London e Benfica, who scored
through Renata Ferreira.
Division One South table toppers AFC Acorns suffered a setback when they were
beaten 4-2 by Hastings Utd, who move into third as a result. Acorns led 2-1 at half time with
goals from Sami Phillips and Lauren Tyler but a second half fightback saw Hastings take the
points with Claire Johnson, Georgia Tibble and Molly Hill all on target along with an own
goal. Hastings now trail Acorns by eight points but have three games in hand, whilst Ashford
Ladies are also still in the reckoning. Welling Utd meanwhile won 1-0 against Meridian
Ladies, Emily Symonds scoring the only goal of the game.
The final quarter final in the League Plate turned out to be a close affair and it was
Newhaven who booked their place in the last four with a penalty shootout victory over
Division One North leaders Brentford after the teams had battled out a goalless draw.
North East League
Leaders York City did not play on Sunday but their position was strengthened with the news
that nearest rivals Harrogate Town had been beaten 3-2 by Ossett Utd. Alayna Millard (2)
and Charlotte Adams scored the goals for Ossett, who move up to third, whilst Harrogate's
replies came from Hannah Freibach and Molly Havard. Chelsea Pilmer, Neve Renwick and
Amelia Hunt were on target for Wakefield Trinity as they also won 3-2 at Hartlepool
Utd, who netted through Atalia Robinson and Emily Stuart, and a solitary goal from Hannah
Travis earned Wallsend Boys Club a 1-0 win against South Shields.
Blyth Town have edged two points ahead in the Northern Division after a 3-2 victory
away to Spennymoor Town. A second half fightback saw Boro Rangers claim a 3-3 draw
with Wallsend BC Res, Lily Metcalfe netting twice along with Eve Jackson, after Michaela
Sewell (2) and Rachel Hepple had scored for Wallsend. Chester-le-Street Utd kept
themselves in the mix by running out 9-1 winners at Prudhoe Town. Jade Fenton scored a
hat-trick for United along with Kirsty Gillis (2), Ellie Medd (2) and Sarah Hutchieson.
Washington Association won 2-1 against Guisborough Town, whilst West Allotment
Celtic defeated Norton & Stockton Ancients Res 4-2 thanks to a Victoria Curtis brace,
Chloe Flannaghan and Megan Hindmarsh.
Hull Utd have taken a huge stride towards the Southern Division title after winning
2-0 against one of their main rivals, Altofts Ladies, with goals from Jade Newlove and Amy
Ward. Hull continue to head the table by ten points from York RI who defeated Millmoor
Ladies 8-1, Tamryn Dunlop and Jodie Langstaff each hitting hat-tricks along with Anna
Whitehead and Chloe Jackson.
