Genero Adran League

There was only one match played in the top flight on Sunday, due to teams being involved in the
semi finals of the FAW Women’s Cup.
In the Plate Conference, The New Saints picked up their third league victory of the
season, winning 3-0 away to Port Talbot Town. The three goals came in the last eighteen
minutes of the match, Georgia Griffiths putting TNS ahead from the penalty spot. Caitlibn Caitlin
Chapman made it two barely a minute later and Lexie Harrison completed the scoring with three
minues remaining, to put the seasl on a result which narrows the gap between the two teams to two
       points.
Swansea City had meanwhile edged themselves closer to the title with a 2-1 midweek
victory over Cardiff Met Women. Chloe Chivers fired the Swans into an eleventh minute lead
and Stacey John-Davis scored a decisive second midway through the second half, despite Emily
Allen reducing the arrears for Met a minute later. The result means that Swansea have stretched
their lead over the Archers to seven points.
The title race in Genero Adran North will go down to the last match of the season after the
two challengers both recorded victories on Sunday. Wrexham have a two point lead at the top
following their 3-1 victory away to CPDG Pwllheli. Rosie Hughes gave Wrexham the lead with a
first half penalty which was cancelled out by Lois Thomas but in the second half, Thomas put
Wrexham back in front with twelve minutes remaining and Natasha Spearing sealed the points in
injury time. Llandudno are now the only team who can beat Wrexham to the title as they ended
the chances of Connah’s Quay Nomads by defeating them 3-1. Ceri Slaney gave Llandudno a
first half lead and they went on to wrap up PREMIER DIVISION P W D L F A Pts GD
