I would like to say a personal thank you not only to today’s fantastic
management committee but to all players, clubs, coaches, referees
and people who continue to make this league such a success.

It is such an honour to still be involved with you all.

Message from the Chair

Welcome to the teams taking part today in the tournament to celebrate
25 years of the GCWFL. It has come a long way since the early days,
now with 32 teams taking part in this landmark season.

The league has teams spread right across the county and is held in
high regard within football authorities.

Ladies football is currently on the up with the success of England
and the Women’s Super League proving to be more and more
popular each season. This is seeing large numbers of young girls
taking up the sport so hopefully we can build on the success of the
league in the coming seasons and grow stronger.

To finish I should mention our thanks to all the volunteers who have
run the league and clubs over the 25 years without whom it would
never have happened.
