Gloucestershire League
The Division One table has needed to be recalculated after Longwell Green bowed to what sadly had
seemed inevitable and withdrawn from the league. Bristol Rovers Development remain as
leaders of the league but now on goal difference from Bishop's Cleeve and Cheltenham
Saracens. Gloucester City and Bitton Ladies had dropped back into mid-table as a result but
Gloucester are back up to fourth after a thirteen-goal victory against Abbeymead Rovers in the
only match to be played. Kate Ambrey, Rakiya Morgan-King, Zoe Gabb and Miranda Smith all scored
twice, whilst the others came from Kacie Anderson, Beth Davies, Megan Prout, Chloe Golding and
Chloe Day.
The league must surely be one of the closest fought in the country at any level - no matches were
played in Division Two where the top three are also level on points whilst in Division One,
Cheltenham Civil Service continue to head the table on goal difference despite going down to a
2-1 defeat at the hands of Cirencester Town. Skye Cooper and Clare Hill scored the goals for Ciren,
who enhanced their own hopes in the title race as a result, whilst the visitors' consolation came from
Jessica Brown. Bradley Stoke meanwhile received a setback to their challenge as they were beaten
3-1 by Downend Flyers Res. Beth Pitman netted twice and Charlotte Richards the other for
Downend, with Emily Jacklin replying.
Greater London League
Regents Park Rangers and Headstone Manor are in fourth and fifth place respectively after
sharing a 3-3 draw in the only Premier Division match to go ahead on Sunday. Emma Johnson,
Georgiana Wagemann and Abi Sabin all scored for Rangers, whilst Headstone netted through an
Erica Augsten brace and Jade Doherty.
The only other league action over the weekend was in Division Two North, where third placed
Islington Borough Res ran out 5-0 winners over Alexandra Park. Nicole Theofylakitdou led the
scoring with a four-goal haul, and Carrie-Anne Leyton was also on target.

The weather and Cup ties again greatly affected the fixture list on the weekend. Mosborough
switched their home game against Dronfield Town Res to an all-weather pitch at Concord Park on
the opposite (north) side of the city. A 9-1 victory enabled them to move to second in the Division Two
table, two points behind leaders Handsworth Development who have played a game more.
Sarah Buxton (2), Dayna Antcliffe, Katie Flanagan, Kelsey Hallam, Laura Kerr, Leah Kerr,
Shannon Marriott and an own goal comprised the tally for the hosts who had won 8-0 when the teams
met earlier in the season. Evie Hamilton scored a consolation for Dronfield.
Division Three leaders Staveley Miners Welfare stretched their 100% start to nine games
as they finished 2-0 winners over Dearne & District who arrived with an unbeaten away record (4
wins and 1 draw). Christy Long and Carly Rowlands were the scorers for Staveley to take their tally
for the season to a half century.
Brunsmeer Athletic were 1-0 home winners over Penistone Church in a delayed League
Cup Second Round tie.
