Adam Davies – Merthyr born Adam came through Cardiff City’s academy. He
joined Llanelli after his release, then he moved to Monmouth Town before joining
Merthyr Town in summer 2014. Adam won all of the major player of the year
awards in 2015/16 season. He left the club briefly two seasons ago to join
Hereford, but returned in December 2017. Ahead of the 2020/21 season, Adam
was made Club Captain.
Ismail Yakubu – Yak signed for the Martyrs initially on a 6-month loan deal from
Hayes & Yeading during the 2019/20 season. Yak made the move permanent
during the summer of 2020. During his time with Barnet, AFC Wimbledon, Newport
County and Cambridge United, Yak made close to 400 football league appearances.
He has been capped for the England semi-professional team on five occasions.
Yakubu also had a brief spell at Penybont FC before rejoing the Martyrs in 2021.
Kerry Morgan – Merthyr born, Kerry, is now in his 6 season at the Martyrs. Kerry

was with Swansea City as a youngster and has also played for Neath, Port Talbot,
Bath City, Newport County and Mangotsfield Town, as well as enjoying spells in
Sweden & Spain.
Matthew Harris – Matty rejoined in 2021, after spending 2 years at Penybont FC.
Matty has made over 300 appearances for the Martyrs, winning the Southern
League Cup & various promotions, Harris brings a wealth of experience to the side
ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Cameron Keetch – Signed in 2021. The left-sided player started his career with
Cambrian & Clydach BGC, making a real impression, before signing for
Haverfordwest in 2019/20. Keetch, who has also represented Wales at School boy
and Boys & Club of Wales, enjoyed a successful spell at Haverfordwest, making 27
appearances and scoring 4 goals.
Connor Davies – Davies arrived from Cymru Premier side Penybont FC in July
2021. In the summer of 2019, Davies signed his first professional contract at Cardiff
City and had spent the 2019/2020 pre-season with Neil Warnock’s first team.
Davies has also spent loan spells at fellow Southern League Premier side Weston-
Super-Mare.
Dan Barnard – Barnard won the JD Cymru South title with Swansea University in
2020. The 27-year-old was also shortlisted for a place in JD Cymru League Team
of Season. The commanding defender has also spells at Llanelli & Bath City, before
joining the Martyrs in 2021.
Elias Youssef – South Wales born, Elias made 27 appearances last season for
Chippenham Town in the National League South during 2018/19 season. Youssef
has also featured for Forest Green Rovers in the Football League before joining
Chippenham Town. Elias is a dynamic midfielder who joined the Martyrs from
Chippenham Town ahead of the 2020/21 season, however due to the withdrawal
from the league, he then joined Taunton Town for a brief spell, before rejoining The
Martyrs for the 2021/22 season.
