Gloucestershire League
Gloucester City were unable to take an opportunity to go top of the table when they were held
to a 1-1 draw by Dursley Town. Zoe Gabb gave Gloucester the lead from the penalty spot but an
equaliser from Gemma Butler means that they now trail leaders Bristol Rovers Development
by a single point. Cheltenham Saracens and Bishop's Cleeve occupy the next two positions
after sharing a 2-2 draw, Ashleigh Barclay and Lauren Wyatt were on target for Saracens whilst
Cleeve netted through Leonie Gough and Imogen O'Brien. Bitton Ladies kept themselves well
in the hunt with a 9-1 victory against Abbeymead Rovers, Tia Harris scoring twice, with one
apiece from Hayley Honeywell, Rebecca Sullivan, Leanne Passaway, Rebecca Jones, Caitlin Hale
and Evie Hopton along with an own goal. Beth Clatworthy netted twice from the penalty spot,
with Aimee Clark adding the other as Bristol & West won 3-2 away to Tuffley Rovers.
The top two have opened up a gap in Division Two, still headed by Cheltenham Civil
Service following their 9-1 victory over City of Gloucester. Beth Sullivan was on target four
times along with Jessica Brown (2), Katie Ashmead, Annabel Whitbury and Leanne Painter.
AEK Boco Res remain close at hand in second after beating Red Falcon Women 5-0 with
goals from Shania Powell (2), Grace Clark, Shelby Lacey and Courtney Smith. Hannah Gillett
scored both as Whitchurch & Bristol kept their hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over
Cirencester Town and Longlevens were 2-1 winners away to Gloucester City
Development thanks to a brace from Lorraine Smith.
Division Three leaders Southmead Community Sport did not play and their advantage
has been trimmed to two points by in-form SGS Olveston Utd Res, who won 3-1 at Stoke
Lane Athletic. Bristol Ladies Union continue to close in on the leading sides, they were 2-1
victors away to Mitcheldean SC thanks to Thalia Worsley and Raya Langford. Michaela Dowie
scored both for Ellwood Ladies as they beat Winchcombe Town 2-1 and Andoversford
scored eleven without reply past Ashton Keynes Youth, Jessica Cox hitting a hat-trick along
with Corrie Lavallee (2), Kathryn McGirr (2), Ellie Kelly (2), Rachael Cutmore and Lauren
