Genero Adran League
Cardiff City Women maintained their good start to the new season by notching up their second
straight win, beating Aberystwyth Town 4-0. Phoebie Poole gave Cardiff the lead from the
penalty spot on the half hour and she added a second ahead of half time. Amy Williams made it
three after the break and Danielle Broadhurst rounded off the scoring, three minutes from time.
Swansea City are the other team in the Premier Division on maximum points after they
won 2-0 away to Pontypridd Town. The first half was goalless but just after the hour mark, the
Swans took the lead through Katy Hosford and with sixteen minutes remaining, Chloe Chivers
wrapped up the win with the second goal.
Cardiff Met Women bounced back from their opening day defeat and it was Port
Talbot Town who caught the backlash as they were beaten 6-0. Erin Murray gave Met a
two-goal lead at half time by scoring twice and seven minutes after the restart, Emily Allen added
a third. Allen then completed her own double and Met went on to round off the scoring in the later
stages with further strikes from Elianna Chavez and Amy Long.
Barry Town Utd’s first home match ended in a convincing 7-2 victory against The New
Saints. In a high scoring affair, Barry raced into a two-goal lead inside the opening twenty
minutes thanks to Megan Bowen and Lauren Harris, with Georgia Griffiths pulling a goal back
for TNS ahead of half time. Chelsea Cochrane restored the two-goal advantage, five minutes after
the break and after Mackenzie Olden made it four, Faye Marshall gave TNS renewed hope as she
reduced the arrears once again. Three goals in the last five minutes and injury time crowned the
result for Barry, Manor Pearce adding the
fifth before Olden completed her hat-trick PREMIER DIVISION P W D L F A Pts GD
