ASHTON & BACKWELL UNITED F.C.
Miles Hardidge, striker/midfield - been with club for 10 seasons, another to join
straight from Ashton Boys. For many years a box-to-box midfielder with bags of ability
and energy to burn, one of the best technical players in the squad. Beech saw
something in Miles to play him as a striker and was instrumental in the Team’s
improvement in 2022
Jack Sell, Forward - another Beech recruit who had disappeared from the game,
having been on the gaffer’s radar for a long time. highly talented striker who scored on
his debut v Millbrook. Following a very successful spell with Clevedon Town, Jack
moved to Portishead Town. Jack was in great form when unfortunately, he suffered a
knee injury away @ Buckland and missed the last 6 games and most of this pre-season.
We will be looking forward to his return.
Elliot Moore, left midfield/forward - another new signing following a
recommendation from Jack Sell, Elliot has moved up from neighbours Nailsea Utd in
the Somerset County Premier league to join us and has impressed in pre-season.
Natural left foot, with quality on the ball, we welcome Elliot to the club.
Dean Preddie, Striker - another summer recruit. “D.J.” Started last season at
Cadbury Heath, 9 goals in 18 games earned him a move to Southern League
Slimbridge. A pacey striker, he scored goals in pre-season, with a particularly
impressive performance this week in the 5-2 win over Nailsea & Tickenham.
