P. 3

Welcome to the Lancer Scott Stadum

It gives me great pleasure to welcome
for the very first time, officials, players
       and supporters from Mousehole F.C.
and hope they had a good journey
       from deepest south Cornwall, that
they enjoy their day with us and wish
them a safe journey back down the M5
       and beyond.
Some disappointing news for the club
this week is the news that Long
serving Sam Thomas has accepted an
offer to move to Southern League
Mangotsfield FC. I will go into a bit
more detail in next week’s magazine along with a suitable tribute.
Beech was hoping to make Tyler Jackson’s move from Mangotsfield
permanent but his agent has set a “deal” with Welsh league Llanwit Major,
yes you read correctly, His Agent.
With no fixture last week, the game down at Tavistock postponed the week
before, it 19 days since the 1 team kicked a ball competitively. That was
                                    st
the New Year Bank holiday fixture v relegation rivals Cadbury Heath in front
of our best Toolstation Western League crowd of 247 people. Thank you to
all those who attended, it certainly helped the Stags to a well-earned victory
thanks to Sam Price’s late winner, I hope a few more of you are here today.
Please see some very good photos from the Cadbury Heath game in the
programme courtesy of Jo Shepard from Backwell camera club who made
her and Julian’s first visit to us in 22 months due to the covid lock down. It
       was great to see them.
Beech has tried to keep the lads sharp by extra training this week and
played a friendly last Friday v St Brendans College on a very slippery 3G at
       Keynsham.
Mousehole arrive at the Lancer Scott in very good form, unbeaten in 6
games, with just 1 defeat in their last 9 league games. They sit in the 3 rd
place level with Exmouth but have 2 games in hand. Interestingly they are
14 points behind leaders Tavistock but have 5 games in hand. I wish them
well but hope they don’t start closing the gap today.
We are home again next week with our big local derby V neighbours
       Clevedon Town , 3pm k.o.

Thank you for your support today, enjoy the game and please respect the
       officials.

       UP THE STAGS
       Mike,
       Chairman
