Beech’s Bench Talk
Good Afternoon and welcome to the
Lancer Scott stadium
The new year has started very well for
us as we picked up 3 valuable points
against Cadbury Heath. With both
teams battling for points and the wrong
end of the table is was always going to
be cagey game and with only 10/15
mins on the clock we lost skipper
Conner Saunders with a leg injury. The
game became a bit of a basketball one
with end to end action with both teams
creating chances. With time running out
and the game looking to be a stalemate up pop substitute Sam price with
the all important goal for us with a close range finish.
I tried to keep the boys sharp, we had a friendly verses Saint Brendans
College side last Friday on a very icy 3G pitch at Keynsham. And then we
had an extra training session on Wednesday plus the usual thursday ,
can’t fault the commitment and hopefully things will pay off for today’s
game.
After a 2 week break we welcome todays opponents Mousehole who are
having a fine season and know we will be up against it and will have to
be at our best if we are to get anything for todays game.
Get behind the lads and enjoy the game
