A Word from the Chairman….
Good evening and welcome to the
Players, Officials and Supporters of
Clutton Football Club. We hope they
enjoy their visit to BBS Park the
home of Mendip Broadwalk and
have a safe journey home this
evening.
The team has started the campaign
well. Two tough home games where
we picked up 6 points, followed by a
tricky away trip to Somerton Town. We took a fair few away with us
on the coach and they watched us get a convincing 3-0 win.Tonight’s
game against Clutton is likely to be a tough test. Last season this
fixture almost became a derby with a lot of players from the local
area going out there to test themselves at a higher standard, which
didn’t work out. Since then, those players have left and Clutton is
back to having players from their area putting on the shirt to
represent them.
In turn, we have retained all last seasons players which we are
pleased about and we’ve recruited well.
Work continues to improve the facility and BBS Park to bring us inline
with Western League standards. The ambition of the club is to
achieve this sooner rather than later.
Only time will tell if we have the squad and the facility. As always
we’ll be giving it everything !!
Hopefully see you in the bar after for a chat about todays game.
