FA Women’s National League

       Northern Premier Division
       Champions Wolverhampton Wanderers signed off
their league campaign with a 4-0 victory against
       Loughborough Lightning. Amber Hughes gave
Wolves a sixth minute lead which was quickly doubled by Beth Merrick from the penalty spot.
Maz Gauntlett made it three shortly after half time, before Hughes rounded off the scoring with
       her second goal.
Wolves end up on top of the table by a margin of eight points from Derby County, who
finished their matches by winning 2-0 away to Sheffield FC. Ellie Gilliatt opened the scoring for
the Ewe Rams early in the second half, with an own goal adding to their advantage on the hour.
Nottingham Forest are in fourth place after they battled out a goalless draw with
Brighouse Town, who are certain to end up in seventh.
Stoke City meanwhile rounded off their campaign on a winning note, beating West
Bromwich Albion 2-0. Elizabeth Steele netted both goals for Stoke, who end up three points
       behind their opponents.
       Southern Premier Division
The last day of the season saw Oxford Utd take the runners-up spot, thanks to a 1-0 success
away to Gillingham. Carly Johns scored the only goal of the game for the U's, three minutes into
       the second half.
The result means that Oxford end up two points ahead of Ipswich Town who had
started the day in second but went down to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Portsmouth. Cherelle
Khassel settled matters with a solitary strike just ahead of half time (see match report).
Southampton FC Women meanwhile rounded off their successful league campaign
when they defeated Cardiff City Ladies 4-1. Katie Rood, Ciara Watling and Megan Collett all
scored for Southampton along with an own goal, whilst Isobel Newns grabbed a late consolation
       for Cardiff.
Bridgwater Utd end up in fourth place following their 5-0 victory over Hounslow
Women. Meesha Dudley-Jones was on target for the Somerset side, along with Amy Goddard,
       Jenna Markham and Emily Wilson-White.
After not managing a draw in any of their first 24 league matches, Plymouth Argyle
have shared the points in both of their last two. On Sunday they drew 2-2 with London Bees
who scored through Hannah Coote and Danielle Puddefoot, whilst Amber Pollock bagged a brace
       in reply for Argyle.
Milton Keynes Dons achieved safety as they ran out 5-1 winners over Keynsham
Town. Lucy Wood netted twice, with Cherrelle Albert, Nicole Pepper and Rhianne Rush also
getting on the scoresheet, whilst Keynsham's consolation came from Henna Butcher.
Chichester & Selsey made sure of finishing off their season on a winning note, 2-1
against Crawley Wasps. Megan Fox and Nicky Lane scored the goals for Chi, either side of an
       own goal in reply.
       Division One North
Liverpool Feds secured the league title with a 6-1 victory against FC United of Manchester.
The Feds needed a point to make absolutely sure but doubles from Paige Cole and Beth
Donoghue, with further goals from Nicola James and Chantelle Thompson, saw them home
whilst Ashleigh Hayes netted a consolation for the visitors.
Newcastle Utd will have to settle for second place despite beating Alnwick Town 4-0
but this did not tell the whole story, with an astonishing attendance of 22,134 for the match at St
James Park. Katie Barker, Brooke Cochrane, Georgia Gibson and Beth Guy all scored to complete
a memorable day for the Magpies.
Durham Cestria picked up the result they needed to secure a third place finish, winning
5-1 away to Stockport County. Ellen Turnbull led the scoring for the Wildcats with a hat-trick
