KEYNSHAM TOWN F.C. Managerial
Mutterings
Good evening
Tonight we welcome everyone
connected to Street FC.
Our last home game saw us
draw 1-1 against Bitton, with
another powerful header from
Gristy in stoppage time capping
another good performance
against a team who are now
180 minutes from Wembley in the FA Vase.
We have been concentrating on our performance
levels knowing if we get them right the results will
follow; we were unbeaten in February with two away
wins and a draw, seeing us sit in mid table, and we
have defended as a team brilliantly in that period
with Mike scoring 3 goals.
He made that 4 in 4 games with another fantastic
header away to Roman Glass St George in midweek.
The small break we had didn’t affect our confidence,
as we started the game really well, playing some
excellent football , only to be hit with a sucker punch.
More pain was to follow as after going down to 10
men with an hour left, and battling brilliantly, we
conceded a scruffy 95th minute goal to agonisingly
lose 2-1. Ash Clark’s performance in goal was
exceptional, and it was great to see captain Harley
Purnell return to the starting line up, and play 90
minutes!
Tonight we welcome back Steff Lee from suspension,
going into an otherwise unchanged squad.
Thanks for your support
