QUEDGELEY WANDERERS F.C.
QWFC was formed in 1994, with just one boys under 14's team. It was started by Dave Mulrain
and Ron Capper, who took on the roles of Secretary and Treasurer, positions they went on to hold
for a further ten years. Dave has since returned to the club as Chairman and is in his fourth
season. They laid the foundations for the club to grow to the present day where we have over
400 members across 23 competitive teams of all ages, including girls sides, 3 adult teams,
walking football and Veterans. Many hours have been dedicated to the club by a number of
volunteers to get to the point we are at today. In July 2021, we installed floodlights due to
gaining a grant from Crest Nicholson. They were installed by MUSCO lighting who have installed
lights in many Premier league sides.
Dave Webb is stepping up to manage our First team this season after managing the Reserves for
many years. Alongside him will be, Liam Kay and Chris Gooch who are the coaches in this
management team. They are hoping to make a real impact in the County League this season.
Our Reserve team are currently in Stroud League Division 1. A few new additions to the squad,
will help this solid hardworking team challenge at the top of Division 1.
New to the management team this year are Jon Taylor and James Butler. They are joining us to
be our Third team management alongside Chris Riley who is our player coach. They bring
experience and are working with the U17s to progress them through to the Senior section. The
Thirds are currently in Division 3 and are aiming to challenge the top spots this season.
We have a brilliant bunch of players/management both on and off the field and wish all three
teams the best of luck this season.
