first win of the season lifted them off of bottom spot. All of the goals came from players with a
proven record of scoring over recent years, Sam Hallam with both for Middlewood and Mikayla
Harper for Kiveton. Wakefield AFC Res are now bottom, Nicole Moffatt their scorer in a 2-1
defeat at Socrates who had started the day in second bottom spot. Becky Hargreaves and Amie
Webster netted the goals for Socrates. Four goals were shared in the division’s only other game,
with Gabrielle Green and Gracie Horne on target for Rotherham Utd Whitehill at home to
Barnsley (Women) Development.
With nine teams in each division, the only division with a maximum four games was
Division Two where the goals flowed in abundance with 33 in total (more than the combined
goals from the other two divisions). Handsworth Development top the table with 12 points
from five games following their 6-2 win over Mexborough Athletic. Mahen Ahmed netted

the way with four goals as Swallownest won 7-3 at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic. Kristi

but from two games fewer. Courtney Clarke led the way with a hat-trick as they ran out 5-0
winners over Kiveton Park Res, Ebony Deans and Roxanne Reid were the other scorers.
Dearne & District took their scoring record to 15-1 as they maintained their 100% away record
with a 7-0 victory at neighbouring Mind Over Matter whose three home games so far have seen
them concede 16 times without scoring themselves. Dearne’s goals were all singles - Kirsty
Bentley, Danielle Burrows, Emma Fleetwood, Megan Govier, Sophie Norris, Lexie Palmer-
Attwood and Claire Unsworth were the players on target.
Somerset League
The top two did not play on Sunday and this has allowed Ilminster Town Res to catch up
ground, moving into third place on the back of a 2-1 victory over Woodspring Women with
Darcey Mann scoring both goals. Bath City Women had started the day in third but were
beaten 1-0 by Wells City, Victoria Groody netting the only goal of the game. Alisha Stuart was
on target four times and Darcy Baber added the other as Paulton Rovers Res won for the first
time, 5-1 against Wellington.
One match was played in Division Two North and it resulted in the leadership changing
hands once again, Burnham Utd returning to the top of the table after beating Berrow 2-1.
Both sides went into the game with unbeaten records and the leadership on offer to the winning
team and goals from Caitlin Stevens and Daisy
Goldsmith gave Burnham the points, whilst Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire
Berrow's consolation came from Danielle
