FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round Replay
                                Tuesday 10th August 2021
                        Brimscombe & Thrupp 3 Brislington 1 A 135
                               Goals:- Asa White 51mins Pen

On Tuesday night we travelled to Brimscombe & Thrupp in our FA Cup replay. We were
without Ryan bath & Simon Prangley who both picked up injuries on Saturday. Asa White
went in at right Back with Kain Edmondson coming in on the right Harry Tobin in the
       middle of the park.
The game started as a rather cagey affair with both teams feeling each other out. The
home side had the be er of the chances and were looking more dominant.
We were failing to keep hold of the ball up top pu ng pressure on the midfield. Scadding
& Edmondson we’re finding some space out wide but the final ball was lacking into the
box to create any meaningful chances.
On 33mins the home side broke the deadlock when we failed to clear a corner and the
dangerous No7 finished to make it 1-0.
We were now struggling to find any decent ball to get forward and the home side were
looking more threatening. With the game approaching HT and Perksy already thinking
about changes we were dealt another blow when home side increased there lead when
we failed again to clear our lines and the No7 made it 2-0.
At HT we changed forma on with White going up front to add a bit more bite. Greenslade
       was bought on for Peart.
We looked a different side and Tobin went close when he hit the post.
On 51mins Scadding broke through and was adjudged to have been fouled. White
stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way to make it 2-1.
The game had a bit of edge about it now Tobin picked up a yellow for a challenge and
then minutes later the home teams captain threw his self to the ground in front of the
dugouts. S ll no one knows what his thinking was but this meant players coming together
and pushing and shoving in the dugouts between both benches. Rich Ford picking up a
yellow with the home side manager.
We were s ll probing and Jones went clean through but was upended by the centre half
but was deemed only a yellow card with another player covering round. The resul ng
       free kick came to nothing.
Time was star ng to run out and we were struggling to break down the home defence.
On 86 minutes the home side made the e safe when a poor back pass let in the forward
       to make it 3-1.
FT 3-1 we should have put this game to bed on Saturday but best of luck to Brimscombe
who now face Aylesbury United away.
Next up for us is Bi on away on Saturday. Followed by a home game on Tuesday night
       home to Cadbury Heath.
There has also been a fixture change we now welcome new boys Saltash United to the
Poplar Insula on Stadium on Saturday 21st August. This game has been bought forward
       from April.
