Bi on 3 Brislington 1 ATT 121
Goalscorer :- Ryan Bath 73mins
On warm sunny a ernoon we made the short trip to Bi on. We were without Lewis Duun
(inj) & Ruben Nuevo - Draper.
Simon Prangley, Mitch Greenslade & new signing Keiron Proctor came in to the side.
As with all the games so far this season the start was a bit cagey with probably the home
side shading the early exchanges.
Callum Heal made a great point blank save as the home side were star ng to press to find
the opening goal. We were being afforded a lot of space but could not find the clinical
final ball to break down the home side defence.
On a couple of occasions Jordan Scadding found himself in good posi ons but the final
ball came to nothing.
On 32mins Tobin picked up a knee injury and was replaced by Fear at le back.
A minute later we were one down sorry didn’t see the goal.
3mins later it was 2 a ball in from the le found and unmarked Bi on player who made
it 2-0.
HT 2-0 and again we le ourself a lot to do if we were to get anything out the game.
We knew we had to find an early goal if we were to get anything out of the game but it
was the home side were s ll trying to find a 3rd.
On 51mins Barwood was replaced by Josh Brace making his debut following a injury in
pre season.
On 55mins from our goal kick the home side won the ball back and a er good work on
the le the ball was squared to leave an easy finish for the Bi on No 9.
We then started to try and find a way back and were finding that we were ge ng behind
their back 4 more regularly but without no end product.
We then had a spate of corners with one header from Asa White being cleared of the line.
Edmondson replaced Proctor on 67mins & went up front with Bath to try and put more
pressure on the home team who looked like they were ring.
On 71mins Edmondson’s persistence won us a throw in. Prangs’s long throw was flicked
on and found Bath unmarked at the back post to make it 3-1 and give us some hope.
We were s ll trying to press but could not find the finish needed to make the last few
minutes a tense affair for the home team.
On 90mins we were dealt another blow when Captain Sco Lewis was shown a straight
red card for pulling back the Bi on No 9, and will now miss next weeks game against
Saltash United.
FT 3-1 we know if we got to half me at 0-0 we would have a chance of ge ng something
out the game. But for the 3rd game this season we gave away sloppy goals to leave us to
much to do in the 2nd half.
