Introducing Yate Town F.C.
He had originally joined Yate in June 2021 from Weston-super-Mare and then switched to
Melksham Town two months later. He had joined the Seagulls on a permanent basis
following his release from Championship side Bristol City. He started his career in the Bristol
City academy, coming up through the ranks at Ashton Gate. He originally joined Weston on
loan in January 2018 and made 16 appearances, scoring one goal. He re-joined Weston on
loan for a month in August 2018 and made 2 appearances before an injury ended his loan
spell early. After recovering from injury, he returned to the Woodspring Stadium on a
month`s loan in December 2018 and extended his spell until the end of the season, where
he made 16 appearances.
Kyle Anderson (defender) Signed October 2023 from Keynsham Town. A brave and quick,
good on the ball.
Will Sage (midfield) came through the ranks at Bristol City’s academy having featured
predominantly for their under-18 side. Since being released at the end of the 2021/22
season he has been working closely with Marvin Brown for fitness and getting match
sharpness at Keynsham Town, where he made 34 appearances and scored 4 goals. Will did
sign for Yate in March 2023.
Chris Peck (midfield) was a March 2023 signing for the Bluebells from league rivals Paulton
Rovers, where he had been since June 2022 after arriving from another league rival, Frome
Town. He had joined the Badgers in June 2019 having spent the 2018/19 season with
Mangotsfield United, after signing from Bradford Town in the summer of 2018.
James Byrne (midfield) All-action midfielder Byrne is a 27-year-old who joined Yate in
November 2022. He had re-joined Paulton Rovers in September 2021 from rivals Larkhall
Athletic having been with the Larks since the summer of 2020 after joining from
Mangotsfield United. He joined the Mangos in 2019 where he had two spells and has also
turned out for Bridgwater Town and Bishops Lydeard.
Joe Hall (central midfielder) Joe was former Bristol City and Mangotsfield United youngster
returning to Lodge Road having played under Paul Michael in the 2020/21 season. The 22-
year-old impressed in the 2020/21 pre-season and forced his way into the squad,
demonstrating his outstanding technical ability, and despite his young age he has great
experience at Southern League level.
Lewis Hall (midfield) 28-year-old Lewis Hall, was another March arrival at Yate, moving
from Swindon Supermarine. He had signed for `Marine in June 2021 from Weston-Super-
Mare having been with the Seagulls since March 2020 after arriving from Taunton Town.
Lewis had signed for the Peacocks in October 2018 from Vanarama National League North
side Hereford. A versatile left-sided player, he is a product of the Bristol City academy and
played for Gloucester City for three-and-a-half years before joining Hereford in the summer
of 2018.
Dan Dempsey (midfield) is another local lad, who joins us from Paulton Rovers. He had a
brilliant season at Paulton last season, and has experience of the Southern League having
had a spell at Melksham Town previously. Dan came through the ranks at our near
neighbours Chipping Sodbury. He is a local lad and has close links with the club, where his
dad also represented the club over a number of years. Dan has all the attributes including a
great attitude and we are delighted to be able to work with him again here at Yate Town.
He is a versatile player who can play in defence or in midfield.
Joe Cattermole (midfield) A valued member of the playing squad whose versatility will
prove useful over the course of the season. On a dual registration with Roman Glass.
Oli Jenkins (midfield) A recent signing from Cribbs FC. An attacking midfield player who
was highly sought after when he decided to leave Cribbs FC.
Brandon Oputeri (forward) made quite an impression through pre-season, including
scoring a brace at Longwell Green. He joined Championship neighbours Bristol City’s
academy in February 2020 and went on to feature in their under-18s and under-21 sides.
He isn’t a stranger to Bluebells supporters, however, as he spent January and February 2023
on loan at the South West Interiors Stadium.
Dylan Lewis (forward) A former Bristol City academy player was John Rendall’s second
